Title:

Radiate Shiva Consciousness! || Oneness || Mahashivratri message || Shivaratri the time when timelessness penetrates into time ||All blessed to be lingobhava || free medical camp || Linga Abhishekam || Rudra Homa ||

Narration:

The Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism, Jagatguru Mahasannidhanam, His Divine Holiness, Bhagavan Nithyananda Paramashivam, expounded on the Cosmic Principles of Oneness during the everyday live public talk - Nithyananda Satsang. In this talk entitled Maha Shivaratri 2010 Message: Radiate Shiva Consciousness!, His Divine Holiness (HDH) retold the events of Brahma (intellect) and Vishnu (wealth) in their fruitless pursuit to find the beginning and end of Shiva, Consciousness. His Divine Holiness revealed that Vedic masters and Rishis did much research to clearly predict the timings when nature most supports us for higher consciousness. He explained that Shivaratri is the prime time when timelessness penetrates into time; when macro descends into micro; when divine descends into our bodies and into the Deities. He advised all delegates to let their rational logic (that says they are not Shiva) have a little friendliness to the existential reality that they are Shiva. He explained that when we can show this friendliness, we will then see our rational reality merging into existential reality and we will start radiating the Consciousness of Shiva. “Start radiating NOW”, He said. His Divine Holiness concluded by blessing us to all become Lingodbhava.

Sanyasis of the Nithyananda Order of Monks and initiated Acharyas worldwide, affiliated with the Department of Education of KAILASA conducted day-long Maha Shivaratri celebrations, that were held in the Nithyananda Peetam Bengaluru Adheenam and at Temples and Satsang centers around the world, in the presence of the Living Avatar, The Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism. Festivities included flag hoisting, free medical camps, cultural shows, Abhishekam to the Linga and Rudra Homa.

[00:30]

I welcome you all with My love and respects. Shivaratri: Shivaratri, is the time when timelessness penetrates the time. Timelessness descends into the time zone. Space descends into the place zone. Brahmanda descends into the pindanda. Macrocosm descends into the microcosm. It is time when the whole nature cooperates, supports, helps you to experience the higher consciousness. In many ways nature supports, creates all possibilities, makes everything available to us to experience the higher consciousness. That is, that is the ultimate truth. Vedic Masters, Rishis have done so much of research in this field. They were able to very clearly predict and find out the timings when nature supports you for higher consciousness; when Divine descends in the body, when Divine will descend in the deities, when you can ascend into the Divine. Our Masters were so thorough in this field, they were able to predict and help people.

[03:31]

Shivaratri is an important time when timelessness enters into time, when space enters into place, when brahmanda enters into pindanda. The whole nature is supporting you now to experience your higher energy, your higher self, your higher consciousness. This is the same night, almost same time, Shiva, Mahadeva, the first and foremost incarnation on the planet earth happened. He expressed Himself as a light shaft, as a light beam, He assumed a form to grace Brahma and Vishnu. Brahma and Vishnu had the fight, who are the great. Please understand. It is a beautiful story. Brahma represents intellect. Vishnu represents wealth. Intellect and wealth will always fight who is great. So, Shiva, super consciousness appears in the front and says, “Any one of you try to find My beginning or the end then we can accept you are the great.” Of course, the intellect just starts flying, Brahma starts flying. And wealth starts digging, Vishnu starts digging. Neither the wealth nor the intellect can find the beginning or the end of consciousness. Neither can lead you to the ultimate. Neither can lead you to the great bliss experience. So, both of them are utterly failed. But one nice thing with wealth, it at least reveals the truth to you, at one point your efforts are useless. You are not going to achieve the ultimate bliss through wealth. The depression of success happens to you.

[07:07]

Vishnu comes back and says, “I am not able to find out, please forgive me.” That’s perfectly okay with Shiva. Shiva says, “Perfectly okay, don’t worry. If you just understand, that’s enough.” But unfortunately intellect can never come down because it is too much for intellect. Intellect can never accept the truth. It cannot lead you to the truth. It cannot show you the truth. So, he comes back with a false witness, with a false witness. A flower which was falling from Shiva’s ears. He comes back with a false witness saying, “I saw Your head.” Shiva just smiles. Of course Shiva knows he has not seen and suddenly Brahma also realizes he has lied. Neither intellect nor wealth can lead you to the ultimate. Then Shiva Himself reveals Himself to the whole world. The consciousness, the super conscious energy, has to reveal itself to the world and elevate the world to its level. Elevate the beings to its level.

[09:02]

Tonight is the night when Divine revealed itself and elevated all the beings to its level. So, understand the first and foremost incarnation on the planet earth, or on the time zone, happened today, and exactly midnight. From this darkness the great light beam happened. The conscious shaft expressed. Shiva, the multi dimensional incarnation, the most colorful incarnation happened on the time zone on this Maha Shivaratri. The word ‘most colourful Incarnation’ need to be understood. Because of His multi dimensions, His dimension as acharya Dakshinamurthy, His dimension as a Kalabhairava - the Lord of time, His dimension as Veerabhadra - the uncontrollable energy, His dimension as Ardhanareeshwara - the masculine and feminine energy together, His dimension as a Maha Sanyasi - a great Tyagi sitting in Himalayas in nirvikalpa samadhi, and His dimension of running a huge family with Uma and Ganesha, Subramanya, and His dimension of running a great Kailash kingdom, His dimension of Lord of Rishis. He can be the ideal to Grihastas, He can be the ideal to the Sanyasis, He can be the ideal to the Rishi’s, He can be the ideal to all the Tyagis.

[12:12]

The endless dimensions of Mahadeva. Each dimension is expression of one component of jeevan mukti. Each dimension expresses one component of jeevan mukti in its full form. Each form of Mahadeva expresses one great truth. Each dimension of Sadashiva expresses one way or one method of reaching and radiating enlightenment. So, Shivaratri is the great opportunity for all of you to raise yourself to the higher consciousness, to the Shiva consciousness, to the Shiva’s state. My message for you today is ‘Radiate your Shiva consciousness NOW’. Please understand the emphasis on the word NOW. You are all embodiment of Shiva. You are all by your nature Shiva. In every one of you, Shiva is radiating Himself. He is available. He is present. Start radiating Shiva consciousness from NOW. We have so many questions, “How can that be? You say we are Shiva. If so, why am I not radiating?” Understand. There is no, if so, if or but. I am making a categorical statement, very clear statement, “You are Shiva.”

[15:26]

Unfortunately sometime people listen but don’t understand. Sometime people come and tell Me, “Swamiji You say we are all enlightened. If so, then why am I not living it?” Understand. He heard when I said, “We are all enlightened.” But he has not trusted. At least he is not able to trust that he is also in that group. He excludes himself, like everybody. 😃 When I say, “We are all enlightened” everybody listens. Nobody understands. And even if they try to understand he thinks, “Maybe except me.” 😃 We try to exclude ourself. Why? First thing, when somebody says something negative about you to you, you immediately start believing. “You are wrong. You are man. You are only this much. You don’t have intelligence. You are dull.” When these words are uttered to you, you straight away believe it. You do not bother to rationalize. Whenever anything negative is uttered towards you, you accept, you believe. But when the truth is uttered towards you, it is so difficult for you to live and to radiate that. You are conditioned so thoroughly from the young age to feel as a lower being.

[17:52]

Society does not want an enlightened individuals. So, from the beginning, society conditions you giving you some pseudo identity, pseudo ideas. You go on swallowing by continuously swallowing those ideas. You go on swallow it. Because you swallowed too much of these ideas, now when I say, “You are Shiva”, you feel, “No, no, no, maybe next person, not me.” 😃 “Doesn’t feel like me. How can this be? I am just weak, weak, weak.” Understand. All the spiritual traditions can be classified into two. One the tradition which says - Gathering one by one the spiritual qualities, accumulating one by one the spiritual virtues by purifying you, you will achieve enlightenment. There is other tradition which says - You are already enlightened, just starts express, start expressing it. Just start expressing those great qualities from inside. It is there, just start taking it out, just start living.

[20:01]

Sometime people come and tell Me, “After all, both tradition leads to the same goal. Is it not Swamiji?” I tell them, “No.” Please understand. No. Only the traditions which are very clear, “By your very nature you are Shiva. Start expressing.” Only these traditions works on you, works for you. All traditions which teaches, you need to acquire, acquire, acquire; please understand all the methods, all the techniques, all the traditions which teaches ‘you need to acquire from outside, you need to acquire these virtues, these qualities, these energies, these purification, then you’ll achieve.’ Those traditions only create deep guilt and confusion in you. Understand the truth, “You are Shiva.” Start expressing your own Shiva consciousness. Your own version of Shiva. Your own enlightenment. Your own super consciousness experience. Understand, when you start expressing from inside, for example: when you feel you are super conscious, you are Shiva, immediately your mind will come up and say, “No, no, no, I don’t have these qualities of Shiva, so I am not Shiva.” If you look little deeper, you will have at least few qualities of Shiva, maybe little bit. There is nobody who can say “Even little bit, I don’t have any qualities of Shiva.” Everybody will be at least having one quality of Shiva, at least one bit. Start from there. Start living that great quality. Start expressing that great quality. When you express one great quality in your life the first thing will happen to you is confidence. Let that confidence be your base and start the different, different, different auspicious qualities of Shiva. Start expressing from inside. You will see you are radiating enlightenment. Please understand. Start radiating your own enlightenment. Do not have somebody else’s enlightenment.

[23:16]

Now the big problem is when I say, “You are Shiva, you are enlightened”, you start thinking, “Why am I not like Buddha? Why am I not like Mahavira? Why am I not like Krishna? Why am I not like Ramakrishna?” Understand. Shiva does not want more than one Buddha. He does not want more than one Krishna. He does not want more than one Ramakrishna. If he wants only Gautama Buddha’s he can just create a Buddha industry like a car companies; assembly line, every minute one car comes out. No difference, no change; not only in the dimension, even in the color. Just not even one inch is different. Every minute one car comes out. He could have created a Gautam Buddha company, Gautam Buddha industry. So every minute one Buddha will get assembled with the same dress, same hairstyle, same size, same shape he comes out. No. Shiva is not interest… interested in creating a car company or an enlightenment industry.

[24:46]

One Buddha is enough. One Krishna is enough. One Rama is enough. One Jesus is enough. One Ramakrishna is enough. Let you all be you. Let you all start radiating your enlightenment. The major problem is when you start comparing with others’ enlightenment, the problem starts. When I say, “You are Shiva”, start living. You feel, “No, no, nobody worships me. When I walk in the street nobody even takes notice of me. How can I be Shiva?” Understand. Even when Shiva was walking on the planet earth, don’t think… it is not that all the people worshipped Him. Don’t think all the people worshipped Him. It's not that all the people have worshipped Him. No. He had enough of people who criticize. He had enough of people who abused Him. He had enough of people who troubled Him. When He came down as Dakshinamurthy, all the Taraka vana Rishis, the intellectuals were doing all possible things to destroy Him. They were trying to do some black magic towards Shiva. Can any black magic work against Shiva? Anyhow, just by His presence all the black magic energy is destroyed and His pure compassion burns away all the black magic energy.

[26:44]

Please understand. Even when He was walking on the planet earth, it is not that He was worshipped or respected. So, do not have ideas about enlightenment. Whatever great qualities you think you have, Shiva’s qualities, the great qualities, start living them, start empowering them, start radiating them, start contemplating them. Spend more time emphasising those qualities, then remembering the qualities you don’t have or you think you don’t have. Understand. Either you can emphasize, remember, empower the great qualities of Shiva which you have and start radiating them, and ultimately radiate all the great auspicious energies of Shiva, or go on giving power, remembering, empowering the qualities which you think you don’t have now. You have choice. When I say, “You are Shiva”, immediately you start rationalizing, “No, no, no. All these qualities of Shiva I don’t have. How can I be Shiva?”

[28:29]

Understand. I am very clearly declaring you are all Shiva. We are all Shiva. We are all enlightened. Please understand. This is existential truth, not rational truth. If you are working through your rationality, through your rational logic, you won’t catch it. This is satya, existential truth. Existential truth will never be caught by rational mind. This is the big problem. This is the exact point many people miss - Satya. Satya means, existential reality, not rational reality. The reality which you can grasp through your rationality, the reality which you can catch through your rationality is not existential reality. Please understand. It is not existential reality. Unfortunately, you are trained only to hold on to rational reality. That is why when you have an idea about yourself, when you create an idea about yourself, when you remember yourself, you remember you based on only your weakest link because society again and again and again teaches you to remember your weakest link as you. You are conditioned to remember your weakest link as you. That is why when I say your strongest link is you, you are little unsettled, you are little imbalanced, you are little disturbed.

[30:56]

When I say, “You are Shiva”, I am expressing the existential reality - satya. I am not talking the rational reality. Understand. When you have a strong vitarka with the Master, when you catch this truth, ‘if He says, it must be true’, and if your rationality, if your rational logic can have little friendliness towards the existential reality, if your rational reality can have little friendliness towards existential reality, you will see the rational reality just merges into the existential reality and you radiate the consciousness, you are Shiva. Unfortunately, the rational reality sometime takes you over and do not lets you remember, see the beautiful, wonderful part of existential reality which is in you. You can look in you and say, “No, no, no this, this, this are not Shiva’s quality.” Sameway you can look inside you and say, “Oh this, this, this are all Shiva’s qualities, I have little bit.” Anywhere you think you have some qualities of Shiva, the consciousness of Shiva, start cherishing that. Start empowering that. Start radiating that from now.

[33:24]

Even if you can express one dimension of Shiva in you, one quality of Shiva in you, one aspect of Shiva in you, that’ll give you such a deep, strong confidence, all other Shiva’s qualities will just open up in your being. So, when I say, “You are all enlightened”, I mean the truth. Existential reality. I am not saying from your rational reality. That is why it is so difficult for people with rationality, people who don’t have friendly, rational logic, to catch the existential reality. Please understand. A little friendliness towards the existential logic or existential reality will open up the same existential reality in you. I have seen, a little friendliness towards the Master… Master is existential reality. That is why many time the statements I make whether about the inner world or the outer world, even about the sangha, looks rationally not true. Many people with rational logic suffer without catching the truth of My words; unable to catch the solid existential reality pointed by My words, existential reality expressed in My words. If you can create little friendliness, little friendly listening, little friendly contemplation, little friendly way of working with that statements, with those words, suddenly you will see your rational logic loses its power, your rational reality rests in existential reality.

[36:40]

You are Shiva. When you remember Shiva, you may remember many other auspicious qualities. Surely, all of you will be having at least one quality little bit. So start expressing that quality again and again and again in your life. Start cherishing that qualities again and again and again in your life. Start empowering that quality again and again and again in your life. Start expressing that quality again and again and again in your life; you will see you are Shiva. Start living as Shiva from now. Not postponing. Do not have the greed, “Oh I have only one qualities of Shiva, I do not have all qualities”. Don’t bother. Even Shiva did not start with all qualities. Even if you think you only have one quality, not all qualities, it is not true. Only when you start radiating one quality you will understand, all the Shiva’s qualities were in you, only you did not know and you did not remember. That’s all.

[38:29]

So, move from your rational reality to the existential reality. Start living as Shiva from now. Any tradition which says ‘You are ordinary man and you need to acquire all the great virtues and divine qualities, then you should become Divine’ will not lead you to the Divine. Only the traditions which declares the truth, the existential reality- ‘You are Divine. Start expressing those qualities from inside.’ Only these traditions lead you to the ultimate truth, existential reality. So, start living the existential reality. The great super conscious experience of Shiva. Start experiencing and expressing the Shiva consciousness. Don’t compare the expression of Shiva in you with the expression of Shiva in others. Shiva does not want to start Ford car company. He does not want, like a cars assembly line, how the cars come out of assembly line. Sameway, the same type of enlightened beings coming out of assembly line. No. Each one of you will be different dimension, different expression of Shiva.

[40:37]

So, start expressing what you experience as your enlightenment. Start expressing what you experiencing as your Shiva consciousness. When you are told you are man and you have all this, this, this problems, you straight away started believing without even analyzing. Then… that is the reason actually you are not able to believe this existential reality. When you can believe bad things, why can’t you believe this ultimate truth? Unfortunately because you believed that so strongly, you have been conditioned so strongly with those ideas, it is very difficult for you to believe or feel connected with the great truth. At least now, catch the truth. Start expressing from NOW. Now is the time the Shiva’s most auspicious energy, Shiva’s most auspicious time, this is the time of Lingodbhava, means as a Linga Shiva expressed Himself. As a light shaft, as a light beam He expressed Himself. This is the time of Lingodbhava happening. So, let you all become Lingodbhavas. Let you all become Shiva. Let you all express that Shiva consciousness. Take the conscious decision NOW and start living as Shiva from NOW.
