Seeking

Seeking is your innermost core’s pain that it has not yet expressed its full potential. It is your innermost core’s suffocation by understanding it needs to expand. It is your inner most being’s decision to expand, be awakened and to be free. It is your innermost core’s decision not to continue with the status-quo.

Seeking is the decision to melt you and reinvent you, melt you and mould you as you want. I tell you, greatest blessing in the life is not even God’s grace, but seeking for God’s grace. I really tell you. It is not even enlightenment, seeking the enlightenment. - Paramahamsa Nithyananda

9th verse of the Isavasya Upanishad

andhaṁ tamaḥ praviśanti ye’avidyām upāsate | tato bhūya iva te tamo yau vidyāyāṁ ratāḥ || 9 ||

Those who worship avidyā, the ignorance that veils the true knowledge of Truth, Consciousness, enter into blinding darkness characterized by the absence of perception; but into greater darkness of ignorance than that, enter they who, considering themselves as scholarly and learned, are engaged in vidyā, the incomplete knowledge acquired for vested interests characterized by the impure perception of Truth, Consciousness.

From Swamiji: Listen, the essence is: do not stop seeking. Anything can be given up, not the seeking! Never, searching for the truth, higher, higher, higher. Listen. Universe eternally expands.

In who the capacity not to seek has disappeared is Enlightened Being. In you, still there is a part of your mind which can put you in boredom or tiredness, you can stop seeking at one day, that is why you are still a seeker. If your seeking becomes eternal, there is no part of your mind exists to make you bored or tired, and it becomes sure you will be seeker forever, you are an Enlightened Being.

10th verse of the Isavasya Upanishad

anyad evāhur vidyayā-anyad āhur avidyayā | iti śuśruma dhīrāṇaṁ ye nastad vicacakṣire || 10 ||

It is said that by vidya, the knowledge cognized from the right context of grasping the Truth. From SwamijI: This verse is trying to remind you the important truth of necessity to have a deep seeking alive. 15th verse of Isavasya Upanishad hiraṇmayena pātreṇa satyasyāpihitaṁ mukhaṁ | tat tvaṁ pūṣann-apāvṛṇu satya-dharmāya dṛṣṭaye || 15 ||

The Truthful, Effulgent, Eternal Being is the ultimate sustainer, nourisher and protector of all that exists! You are the embodiment of the imperishable Truth and Reality. Your Divine face of Truth is concealed by the blinding dazzling upturned pot, which has golden orb of effulgence. This radiant golden pot conceals your glorious face of truth from my view. O Pūṣan, O Sun, O Complete One, do reveal Yourself by removing that glaring veil, for I, on the path of Truth, am eager to have your Divine vision.

18th verse of Isavasya Upanishad

agne naya supathā rāye asmān viśvāni deva vayunāni vidvān | yuyodhy asmaj juhurāṇam eno bhūyiṣṭhāṁ te nama-uktiṁ vidhema || 18 ||

"O Agni, the Fire God! Knower of all our actions and all that is worth knowing, You must take us along the righteous and auspicious path of completion, leading us to experience the Supreme Consciousness, the original space of Complete Completion. O God, Consciousness! May you remove all our incompletions that are obstacles on our good path of completion, beyond coming and going, birth and death. Onto You we surrender with many reverential words, bowing down again and again."

Swamiji: If I squeeze this whole 18 verses, the essence I see is intense seeking. Understand, the essence of whole Isavasya Upanishad, the lesson you need to learn from the Isavasya Upanishad is – intense seeking, intense seeking. The eighteenth (18th) verse emphasizes on praying and surrendering. Ultimately, man cannot make it, only God has to make it. Only He has to make it for you, so that is why — “Oh God, Consciousness may you remove all our incompletions that are obstacles on our good path of completion, beyond coming and going, birth and death. Onto You, we surrender with many reverential words, bowing down again and again, bowing down again and again.”

Introduction

Constantly keep your seeking alive.

What am I? What is it I see all around me which I tag as world? Which I classify as world?

Before accepting any friend request, you try to see the profile; same way, before accepting the friend request from the world, please try to see the profile of the world—What it is? Who made it?

Even if you need to move along with your life not forgetting that you are having only too little information, you need to dig out and get all the information, and after you receive the information you should be ready to change, reinvent, re-strategize yourself, is Seeking.

The materialistic civilization never lets you sit back and look. If you are allowed to sit back and look you are a dangerous person; you will find the shallowness of it. Sitting back and looking is unclutching, meditation, seeking.

Sitting back and looking—What for you are looking, and what you are looking, where are you looking? Are you looking in the right direction, what you are looking? These basic questions are enough, all the makeup of the world will disappear, full make-up, If you go in the rain, the black will come to the white and white will go to the black. Means the hair which was dyed will become white, and the face which was painted with the white will become dark because of the dye has come here. Exchange of colour. Sit back and look, you will suddenly see what you are looking can never be delivered from whom you are looking and from where you are looking. That is why the materialistic society and it’s day to day routine is always constantly pushing you, never letting you sit back and look.

Coming back to the basic questions is Seeking. You may be running in any speed with your materialistic needs, demands, fear, greed, but retaining the capacity to reinvent yourself and re strategize yourself with the conclusions of your seeking is keeping seeking alive. You might have established a business for 25 years, suddenly your seeking tells you that is not the right field. As per the conclusions you arrive with your seeking, having the ability to just change, reinvent, re strategize yourself with something new, as per the conclusions of your seeking, is keeping seeking alive. Ability to be liquid, ability to be alive, ability to be a seeker.

Life Starts with Seeking

Seeking is the most finest expression of God in human being. See, when God expresses, you may express many qualities. Even third-eye power is nothing but the expression of Mahadev radiating in you. Every power is God expressing through you. But the most finest, subtlest, greatest power, experience God can express through you is seeking; because He reminds His nature to you and makes you into He; makes you into He. - Paramahamsa Nithyananda

Any stagnation is disease. If you are able to bend your body 40 degrees, make it at least 41 the next day, don’t stagnate. In the mind, if you are able to understand some concepts for five minutes, make it at least into 6 minutes next day. Killing all parts of stagnation in you by the constant inspiration and excitement is seeking. - Paramahamsa Nithyananda

Fall in Love with Seeking

An ordinary human being, his life is just a hormonal hijack from birth to death. He is just hijacked by his hormones and by the time he wakes up, he has already landed in death.

When you are born, when you take off, just in few minutes, the hormones put the knife on the throat and say, “fly the plane as I say, where I want..”, and you are hijacked. When the hormones say, “come on land here”. When you land, the land is death. So-called normal life is hormonal hijack.

Rarely when you fall in love with something or some person, you develop the ability to reinvent yourself, reorganize yourself, awaken yourself and look into something fresh. But it’s only during the seeking when you fall in love with the highest possibility. You raise in love not fall in love. You raise in love with the highest possibility. Only when the seeking starts your bio-memory starts reinventing itself. Please understand, if you fall in love with something physical, you will just alter all your physique. You may start going to gym, change your haircut, change your hairstyle, change your dress, change your skin color.

When you fall in love with something super-conscious, you get the ability to change your very consciousness. Falling in love with the super-consciousness and awakening your ability to reinvent, reorganize your very bio-memory, your very core consciousness, is what I call seeking.

Seeking Reinvents YOU

When you are a teenager, when your Mom asks you to buy vegetables and milk or some groceries from the shop, you won’t walk even up to the corner of your street.

But when you fall in love, especially that puppy love, to have a glimpse of your girlfriend, you will be ready to walk 5 kilometers, to have a glimpse of your boyfriend; you will be ready to walk 5 kilometers. When your Mom says, just buy some vegetables, milk or grocery you can’t walk 5 houses, the street corner. But when you fall in love, the 5 kilometers distance looks nothing.

When you fall in love, your capacity to reinvent yourself is awakened in you. Same way, when you fall in seeking, the capacity to reinvent your very core Consciousness gets awakened in you. If your teacher says, “ayye, wake up in the early morning at least 7 o'clock and start studying for examination”, you won’t do. But when you fall into seeking, early morning 3oclock, you will be up and alive, reading Upanishads, doing Yoga, meditating. I tell you, what puppy love can do to you, seeking can do the same thing to your Consciousness, not just your body-mind. In puppy love, the energy you radiate in your body-mind, you will radiate tons of it in your core Consciousness in seeking.

When the seeking is awakened in you, even you will be surprised. When the seeking is awakened in you, even you will be surprised about you. Your very understanding about you will become different when the seeking is awakened in you. You become so serene, so graceful, so alive, so light ready to take-off. You are no more a hard stone. You just become one with the thin air, ready to go higher, higher, higher and higher. Seeking makes you LITE and LIGHT.

Seeking gives you Vision

Continuing with the status quo with the fantasy that someday something will happen from heaven or from somewhere, from the sky something will drop and everything in my life will be aligned and proper. Sitting with this stupid fallible vision is fantasy. When we go on cherishing fantasy after another, it is status quo living.

Infallible fantasy is vision. When you take the responsibility for your visualization it is vision. When you don’t take responsibility for your thinking, it is fantasy.

Any Stagnation is Disease and Hell

andhaṁ tamaḥ praviśanti ye’avidyām upāsate | tato bhūya iva te tamo yau vidyāyāṁ ratāḥ || 9 ||

In who the capacity not to seek has disappeared is Enlightened Being. Enlightened beings, they become one with the Cosmos, that is the ultimate experience, but not final, because Ultimate itself is constantly alive, not carved in stone!

Ultimate is not carved in stone, it is a powerful happening. It is a constant happening! Every time I fall into Samadhi, I just know I am pregnant with billions of planets. I am just pregnant with billions of planets. Understand, when I say I am pregnant with billions of planets, means, I am constantly delivering, delivering, delivering. Swallowing billions and delivering billions. Infinity! Cosmos, is a happening. It is not a dead state. It is a alive, living, happening! Understand.

Universe is happening, even all Enlightened Beings continue to seek. See the Enlightened Being seeking means continuous expansion, continuous expansion, so, even if Enlightened Beings are expanding, seeking, happening, then, you should be seeking. Kill all parts of you trying to become stagnant! - Paramahamsa Nithyananda

Seeking should become your very being. Mumukśatva means constantly looking for Reality. Don’t allow any stagnation; all stagnation is stupidity. Stagnation is stupidity. If somebody is stuck, that is hell, the most cursed space.

Being stagnant, stuck, is worshipping ignorance

Understand. You will never get an answer, but you are not supposed to stop seeking, because the reward for your seeking is experience, not answer. If something is told to your very being, it is experience; if experience is limited to your logic, it is answer. Response from the Cosmos to your seeking, if it is limited to your logic, your seeking is also limited to your logic, Cosmos will reply to your logic, it is answer. If your seeking is from the depths of your being, Cosmos will reply to your very being, that is called Experience. - Paramahamsa NIthyananda At any cost, don’t stop seeking! The moment you stop seeking, you start worshipping avidyā; you start worshipping ignorance. You start worshipping ignorance.

A Story about Worshipping Ignorance

Brahma and Vishnu search Mahadeva’s head and feet. Brahma goes up, Vishnu goes down, both are seekers. Vishnu goes on and on and on and on, at one spot he feels “enough” tired, bored. At least tiredness and boredom will not become cunning; he comes back and says, “No, I am not able to do, forget about it.” He develops a don’t care attitude, tired, bored, leave it.

But Brahma, not only he is not able to find the truth, he tries to become cunning with that knowledge, but not having experience, he becomes cunning. That is the most dangerous! That’s the most dangerous. He becomes cunning. He gets engaged in avidya, the incomplete knowledge acquired for vested interests, characterized by impure perception of Truth, Consciousness. When Brahma becomes cunning. not only he does not accept he hasn’t found truth, he tries to lie saying “I found,” and he develops false evidence, just like false rituals, false techniques. Like saying “I have found, do it, you will find.” “I wanted to tell the whole world, never believe the fellows who tell they found the technique based on their own experience but not in tune with the words of the Rishis! Understand? In Vedic tradition, you can design any technique, any permutation, combination is allowed, but, it should be in tune with the Vedas, the Apta Pramana.

..Listen. If you accept somebody’s words that it is the technique from their own experience and it is not in tune with the original Vedic tradition, be very clear, it is false evidence, false technique, false rituals, just like Brahma bringing a flower as false evidence saying that he reached Mahadeva’s head. These fellows without reaching, trying to prove they reached.

These false evidences, what Brahma brought, it is also flower, but it will not take you to the ultimate! Wheezing may be healed, little good health, but won’t lead to enlightenment, understand, enlightenment is altogether a different game! Having little health, feel good feeling, are not sufficient! They may be good initial side effects of technique, but technique is not aimed just to little health and feel good feeling.

Don’t become victims of Brahma. Catch Mahadeva! Don’t become victims of Brahma, his false claims and the false evidence he brings, false techniques he brings; catch Mahadeva!” - Paramahamsa Nithyananda

Seek about Everything, you have a right!

Seek about Everything, you have a right! You have a right to question the whole Cosmos!”

I am giving you a simple secret, simple secret, listen: if you have a stomach pain, don’t try to think “why there is stomach pain, what did I eat, is it indigestion, gastric, what is the reason, why am I having?” Don’t think that way. Try to ask, “why, first of all, this very habit of eating and digesting?”

Start questioning the roots, you will be declared as rebellion by Cosmos, all your needs will be met. It is a child cries loud gets attention first! If you think, “Should I do this pranayama, that yoga, take this herb,” yes, you may get your stomach pain cured, you will have a headache tomorrow. But question the very root, always go to the extreme of questioning, when you question the very root, “Why this question of eating, digesting, getting energy from food,” when you go to this, you will be the child crying louder, Cosmos will reply to you, not only get rid of the pain, but get power to become Nirahari!

The child who cries louder gets not only candy, but keys to store room, “whenever you feel, go eat, don’t cry, don’t create a mess!”

Learn how to throw tantrum with the Cosmos. Question the very root, source, why first of all this body which has a possibility for disease? Why? So let your whys go to the depths. Understand, just one child, Nachiketa throwing tantrum, Yama Deva has to sit and obey Nachiketa! Learn to throw tantrum with the cosmos, because you have a right over it!

Cosmos cannot just brush you aside, push you aside, saying, “You throw tantrum, I will do my job,” if you read the Vedic literature, so many references will be there, Rishi sitting in one corner of the forest meditating, Indra’s throne burns!

Seeking is nothing but your ability to throw tantrum and get the attention of the Cosmic Mother.

Just sit under one tree with that depth and decision of seeking, simply Kailaasa will shake! Don’t try to be Ravana, trying to shake Kailaasa, you will be caught under.

Just be a yogi, Vishnu cannot sleep there! Vaikunta will have a tsunami! He has to come down and attend to you! Because, after all, Vaikunta, Kailaasa and all is a parallel universe.

Parallel universe of your Anahata chakra is Vaikunta, parallel universe of your Ajna is Kailaasa, if you shake your Ajna, Kailaasa has to wake up and Mahadeva has to appear in front of you! Don’t be arrogant out of your seeking; when you are seeking, arrogance will not even happen. If you sit and open your Anahata chakra with a depth of seeking, simply the Narayana has to wake up from his yoga nidra and appear before you, “My son, what do you want?”. Have you not heard the stories? There are not stories, they are Truths. They are truths, pure truths. -Paramahamsa Nithyananda

Seeking, the Greatest Blessing in the Life

Seeking is the decision to melt you and reinvent you, melt you and mould you as you want. I tell you, greatest blessing in the life is not even God’s grace, but seeking for God’s grace. I really tell you. It is not even enlightenment, seeking the enlightenment. - Paramahamsa Nithyananda Seeking is the time you can enjoy the glory of Enlightenment; because after you become enlightened - You are that – what is there separately to enjoy. Seeking is the real honeymoon. Seeking is the real time and space where you can reinvent yourself, where you can melt, go on melting, melting, melting, melting.

Seeking in relation to the 25 States of Consciousness

You have 4 main states – deep sleep, dream state, waking state, awakened state.

The waking state ‘you’ enters into dream state and wakes you up.

The awakened state of you entering into the waking state of you and awakening you is Seeking.

If you have started seeking, be very clear, God has graced you. He has showered His grace on you. Now, the train is going to stop only where you achieved your goal, not before that.

Shankara says: Mumukshutva - Awakening of seeking in a human being is one of the greatest, rarest thing can happen. Understand, seeking fulfills everything you seek and beyond. It awakens the truth in you. It awakens the possibility in you.

Anything can be lost, not the Seeking

Seeking is the way God in you wakes up. In the early morning sometimes you feel, you yourself will feel that you are dreaming.

Same way, seeking is the way you wake up to your reality. Don’t fall asleep, don’t turn away when the Seeking is awakened in you. Understand. After remembering you are dreaming, you just pull up your blanket and turn and sleep, how stupid you are. Same way, after just having seeking, after smelling seeking in your life, after tasting seeking in your life, if you just turn and lose that intensity in seeking that is the most stupid thing that can happen to you in your life.

Seeking is the love letter from your Beloved who is living in your heart forever. If you miss that, you may have to wait forever and ever to get the second letter. Understand, it is a message from your Beloved who is residing in your heart forever. Anything can be lost, not seeking. Body can be lost and immediately you can have another one, because tons are there in the planet earth, billions of bodies are there. Mind can be lost immediately you can make another one.

Understand, anything can be lost; you can get it, not Seeking. Constantly, constantly keeping your inner quest alive, keeping the basic questions alive, till they become experiential answers, not intellectual, experiential answers.

What am I doing? Everyday what am I doing? What I am doing is it exactly moving me, pushing me towards where I am supposed to reach. What am I doing? Where am I going? What am I doing? Where am I heading?

When your bio-energy, God particle, Kundalini Shakti is awakened, you will feel tremendous Seeking in your bio- memory. Suddenly you will see the earlier, the cognitions you built about you, everything is collapsing like a Hindi movie climax. How in the Hollywood, Bollywood movie climaxes always they collapse at least 2 or 3 buildings, only then climax will happen. How those buildings collapses, you will see your cognitions collapse, not for bad, but for good, because the right expansive cognitions will start happening.

When the seeking happens in your life, 10 times more you should be micromanaging and planning, only then the real, the Seeking is getting filled in your bio-memory and your bio-memory is getting shaken by that Seeking. Normally you are managing one shop, if the Seeking awakens in you, you should be able to manage 10 shops, and the Seeking fire. Only then your Seeking is penetrating into your bio-memory. Otherwise somewhere the wrong tube connection, it goes somewhere else.

And Ultimately, man cannot make it, only God has to make it. Only He has to make it for you, so that is why — “Oh God, Consciousness may you remove all our incompletions that are obstacles on our good path of completion, beyond coming and going, birth and death. Onto You, we surrender with many reverential words, bowing down again and again, bowing down again and again.”

Seeking - Powerful Technique to Awaken Yourself!

In the dream state, if you see two tigers are chasing you or two snakes are chasing you. If it’s harsh to handle, you will wake up. Same way, if it is too fantastic, exactly the same place you always want it to be is there, the same person with whom you want to be is there, you will suddenly wake up. If it is too sweet, you will wake up, too harsh, you will wake up. So that dream state is sustained in the struggle, not in the extreme, listen, only in the struggle, the dream continues, not in the extreme.

Same way, in the waking state, if it is extreme sweetness, you will wake up or extreme harshness, you will wake up. But as long as there is a struggle between these two, the struggle between the extreme sweetness and harshness, greed and fear is what your incompletions. As long as there is a struggle you will continue to maintain this waking state. This state you will continue to maintain. If any one takes over, it’s all over.

Allowing the lifestyle of extreme harshness and awakening, getting awakened is the lifestyle of renunciation, A Naga, Aghori. Allowing the extreme sweetness and awakening is the lifestyle of devotion, a Shavaite. Using both of process and getting awakened is the lifestyle of Nithyanandaite. I use all available, possible methods, process, kriyas to help you into awakening whether it is nightmare or fantasy dream, you will wake up. You will wake up. You will wake up.

Understand, neither fantasy dream nor nightmare will let you continue sleep. Same way, neither extreme harshness nor the extreme sweetness will help you to continue your waking state. It will lead to awakening, it will lead to awakening.

I tell you, if life itself brings the harshness and awakens you, if life itself brings that sweetness and awakens you, you will be wasting a lot of time. You voluntarily getting into that state, cooperating for your awakening is what I call Seeking. It is not that every night you wake up with the nightmare or fantasy dream. Many nights you wake up because you are too tired.

Understand, same way in your life also, it is not that all the time you can get the extreme harsh dream, harsh reality or extreme pleasant reality. Creating either extreme harshness of reality or extreme pleasantness of reality leads to your awakening. Cooperating with the life to create the extreme harshness or extreme pleasantness is Seeking.
