Description:

In today’s morning satsang, Paramahamsa Nithyananda (Swamiji) distinguishes between “heaven” and “enlightenment”. Drawing from the Nachiketagni, the tale of the child who met the God of Death, he explains that the experience of heaven constitutes moving beyond grief. When human beings gain clearance of an old behavior pattern, if they grieve over its loss they have not completed their process. In heaven no attachment remains to the discarded pattern. However, completion is not enlightenment! Nithyananda describes how and why.

“Sadashiva samarambam, Shankaraacharya madhyamam asmadacharya paryantam vande Guru paramparam!”

I welcome you all with my love and respects! I welcome all the devotees, disciples, Samajis, Satsangis sitting with around the world at this moment in places through Nithyananda TV & Youtube live, places in 2 way video conferencing having Nayana Deeksha, in cities, countries around the world as per the statistics!

Cities sitting with us in 2 way Video conferencing having Nayana Deeksha are –

We will start the Niraahaara Samyama 3rd level tomorrow.

As you all may be aware, we had a festival where Arunachala goes around the hill. Every year twice he goes around the hill. He himself goes around the hill ceremoniously. After the Deepam festival he goes around with Devi. See when he was in the body of Arunagiri he himself wants to demonstrate the sacredness of the hill. So he went around teaching people. So that is the ceremony still observed. Today he goes around the Arunachala hill. He comes for the purpose of giving enlightenment to Brigi Rishi who was meditating in the forest of Arunachala and Gautama Rishi. There were 17 Rishis temples around the hill, to give liberation to all of them. It is like when you are sitting and meditating with the dedication and devotion to him, he comes to bless you and liberate you. So today is basically for liberation he goes around.

As you all may be aware we are having amazing wonderful sessions ashramites IA. So Brahmanyam Bahuputratam program has fulfilled me …so the Brahmanyam Bahuputratam is happening wonderfully. Lot of clearance. So I have something to share with you all about some discussions we were having yesterday. On why people should be on 2 way. See what is the difference between watching on one way NTV lying on your couch and coming to satsang centre seeing 2 way. First thing your posture will be proper because I am seeing you. 2nd you will be attentive. When you are sitting in your bedroom and watching, 1st thing your posture will not be proper. You will be half lying means semi-conscious. You may be hearing, you will not be listening. And grinder sound, mixie sound, laundry sound, husband sound, children sound, this distraction, that distraction, maid all the distractions will be there. And more over if you are in house you will have certain pattern of thinking, in your office there is certain of thinking. Unless you step out of that place, you will not step out of that thinking. Even if you are sitting in your house and thinking, worrying patter will not stop. That is why satsang means coming to a center or a place in your house allotted for mainly being seen by me.Now I will talk about only importance of 2 way. When you know I am seeing you especially when I make comments that person is moving, …you know I am seeing you. you listen. You listen. Understand the listening happens. Just you yourself try. Just switch off the camera and know that I am not seeing you. then how you sit? How you respond? You know it. And moreover in the house you are all over. Half you can sleep, half you can sit, one day you can miss. And in the satsang centre the life is different, group is different, understanding is different, context is different, and moreover here in centre all of you have gathered for a purpose so discussions are different ..i tell you great saints Sundaramurthi swami says in his verses MD! You take away anything from my life, not the company of the devotees, not the company of people who live for same purpose. When you see people with same purpose it is inspiration – satsanga. If you see people if you have company of people who have same purpose that is the biggest strength inspiring. That is why I tell you anything can be given up, not living at the feet of the master .

Because there not only master 1000s who are living striving towards the ideal of the master where will you get such a sacred company? Such a sacred support. Satsang is moral support to the society. You get so much of moral support in modern support for drinking, going to movies not for enlightenment. But in satsang you get moral support for enlightenment. Take this as authentic integrated commitment whatever may happen, I will live and die in satsang. In the sangha. Because continuously that satsang brings you to Nithsanga.

“Satsasangatve nitsangatvam, nisangatve nirmohatvam, nirmohatva nischalatatvam, nischalatatve Jeevanmukti!”

Satsanga leads to nitsangha, nitsangha leads to nirmoha, nirmoha leads to nishchala and nischala leads to jeevanmukti.

I still remember in ….where there are some swamis. On swami in-charge of the bhandaar, one head of monastery. 1st guy’s name is satsangananda, 2nd guy is nitsanghananda, 3rd is nirmohananda, 4th is nishcalnanda, 5th is jeevamuktananda

First one is for serving the food, 2nd is for allotting accommodation in the monastery, 3rd …..they will say go to nitsangananda, then go to nirmohananda table, then go to nischalananda and then go to jeevanmuktananda table. I don’t know whether it was coincidence or Guru named in different times….it is too much of coincidence!. So when you go to table of satsangananda he leads to nitsangananda’s table, when you to nitsangananda’s table he leads to nirmohananda’s table, when you go to nirmohananda’s table he leads to nischalananda’s table and when you go to nischalananda’s table he leads to Jeevanmuktananda’s table,in Akadas they have a unique way of living. They have a floor size table where you sit and put it on your lap for vedic studies and all you have that kind of table. All the swamis are big belly guys. And you can see satsang….jeevanmuktananda sitting! From satsanga comes non-attach, from non-attach comes freedom from delusion. From freedom from deluions leads to self settlement. Self settlement leads to jeevanmukti!

Satsangatvananda, nisanghananda, nirmohananda, nischalananda, jeevanmuktananda. What a nice idea!

Never ever leave satsanga. Try to always have satsanga. So anybody’s spiritual journey starts with 2 way. Understand. As I said if you are watching the discourses through NTV or youtube, you watch, you hear. You dot listen. When you sit in 2 way, when I also see you – you listen. I tell you people have become spiritually so healthy in my sangha just because of the two way Video Connection. I can see very clearly people who come for 2 way satsang regularly they are so healthy spiritually. Their spiritual health is in such high level. They evolve, evolve, evolve. See in one way when you sit one day when phone call comes in between you will say it is okay and you take it, mail man - it is okay, laundry – you will put and listen side by side. Child has to leave to school you will be packing the box and by the time you come back “authenticity” (topic in satsang) is gone. Then you are listening to “responsibility” (as the topic in satsang) Then you will ask why should I take responsibility? I tell you if you don’t listen, it is dangerous for me. ...if you sit for pada puja settle down. Nischala happens then comes jeevanmukti. Nischalatva. Unless the Nishchalatva happens..understand without settlement in the self, truth does not get imbibed. If nischalatva does not happen, nothing happens. You hear, don’t listen.

Especially the lessons you are learning now the highest tatvas – Integrity, authenticity, responsibility, enriching.

Listen that will always enrich the life. Today I have some more things to share with you all. Harvard university is going to study the phenomena called ‘Kumbh mela.” Understand, Six of its departments are collaborating to understand the Kumbh Mela phenomenon: the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Harvard Divinity School, Harvard Graduate School of Design, Harvard Business School, Harvard Medical School and the Harvard School of Public Health. Six of them are going to study kumbh mela because they feel the mega city called kumbh ghat which is in Allahabad pops up in 3 weeks and gets dismantled in 1 week which is larger than New York, London and Paris combined. This is the article published by Wall Street. Mainly 7 grids they have described – power and electricity grid, clean drinking water grid, zoning grid, multiple aspects of contemporary urbanism, electricity grid, food and water distribution physical infrastructure, construction, mass vaccinations, public gathering in spaces and night time social events. Please understand the effect of this whole thing is New York, London, Paris combined! God! And one more information. I have so much of information for me to share with you all. First day itself ten million took bath – one crore! First day 25,000 tonne food grain was consumed. On tonne means for you to visualize. 1000 kg means how many bags you know? 40 bags is one tonne. So 25,000 x 40 means what. One million – 1 lakh bags consumed in one day. 25 tonne …in one day! do you know the funny thing. As per the tradition, still the tradition is maintained. In kumba ghat you cannot sell food. All the one crore people were given free food without Government machinery. It is a law. When you go you will not find a single hotel in kumba ghat. Food is available but not money. 7 lakh tents which is 700,000 tents are already put just like our tent. Our tent can accommodate 250 people. Like that 7 lakh tents have been put. 7 lakh organizations, 700,000 organizations are gathering. Do you know one funny thing totally 250 million people are going to gather totally only 31 police stations are going to manage. If all the visitors just spit, in the flood they will go away. But people come for such a sacred purpose. At least in my experience I have not seen a single petty theft. I have sent gold palkis, silver, money all to kumba ghat. All of you need to know our tent does not have a gate. Not only ours, no tent can have a gate. …when you are coming you will see no gate. What gate you will put. It is a phenomena. I request Harvard Sociology department to take up research how millions can gather without even a petty theft. …

Even if children are lost, there are missing people announcements. Massive, massive happening. Don’t miss kumba mela. ..i request anybody who has little vedic tradition, don’t miss kumba mela. Even if you did not get your registration confirmed during the time I am there in the tent. The tent is there for full 2 months. Go some other time enjoy and come. Don’t miss kumba mela. It is a phenomena. God. It is such a phenomena. Wow! The crowd on the main days is large enough to be visible from space satellites.

Alright we will move to today’s subject for the satsang – Katha Upanishad and authenticity. I am fully geared up. Too much of energy because working with ashramites. There is nothing much to clap. I meant I have to put all my energy to raise them. ..one I am really really really happy. Whatever is said and done they are not fallen hair, they are staying eyes, and heart and brain – of course not brain! But lungs and everything else. Because they stayed back. Anything is okay. But stay back. Anything can be repaired.

He who knows the three-fold Nachiketa fire and performs the Nachiketa fire-sacrifice with three-fold knowledge, having cast off the fetters of death and being beyond grief, he rejoices in the realm of heaven.

3 fold Nachiketa fire means performing, completing successfully and begin in same state and putting yourself back in the same state even if you have fallen.

Next stage is 3 fold knowledge. What is 3 fold knowledge. Understand the method of performing in body, mind and context. For example if this action if it is done by a wrestler what is it? – beating.

<he shows his fist> the same action done by the same wrestler but without having anybody in front of him can be even stretching of his body – exercising. The same action if it done by me kundalini awakening. This – this can be a crime inside a flight or ship – showing a sharp weapon towards somebody is a crime in a ship or in a flight. Have you guys even once thought it is a crime? Till now not after I said. Till now have you guys thought about it like that. How many millions of times have you seen me doing this? Context.

A child was complaining to mother I am afraid of this, I am afraid of that. Mother took the knife and kept the neck of the child and said. Are you afraid now, knife is at your neck are you afraid now. She said no, I am not. Why because knife is in hands of mother it wont kill. Same way my hands is in knife of cosmos it wont kill. Understand who is holding the trishul in front of you? Context is decisive. If I am holding it is not for killing, It is for healing. Who does it is decisive.

trinaachiketaha trayametad viditvaa |ya evam vidvaan chinute naachiketam | sa mrutyupaashaan purataha pranodhya|shokaatigo modate svargaloke || 18 ||

Three fold knowledge how it needs to be done in body means what needs to be done physically, what needs to be done mentally means internally what needs to be the context you need to hold in your heart. Same action of pouring the ghee into the fire can be just a tool to balance the weather. Early morning if you see in cold weather all villagers will be sitting with the campfire…you sit with fire to make yourself warm. If just done physically, the yajna is only a campfire. If done mentally and physically it can be a technique. If you hold the right context what for you are operating continuously it becomes a complete spiritual process. It can be washing the deity, bathing the deity or giving sacred bath to deity. It can be washing the deity, bathing the deity or giving sacred bath to deity. All three physically will be same, but mentally will be difficult, contextually completely difficult. if you just do physically it is washing the deity. If you do with the right mental understanding it is bathing the deity. If you do with right context, it is giving sacred bath to deity. Washing is just pouring, cleaning with force… bathing the deity seeing divine is there and pouring the water with that context. Giving sacred bath to deity is knowing the context here is the cosmos the whole, here is the individual who feels he is separate let him pour himself into it. What is the context of pouring he is giving sacred bath. Clear? Now let all temple pujaris all over the world in all our temples volunteers decide – are you washing, bathing or sacred bathing. Most of you I trust only in the bathing state. You are not that low as washing state neither in sacred bathing state. Now it is time with authenticity you are in sacred bathing state where you pour anything. Anything you pour literally represents you. sacred bathing. You just pour your own self. Just your very being in the form of milk, water, turmeric powder, whatever you are pouring. Just you are pouring you into him. Holding the right context. Context is decisive.

Same way just holding the context and not doing anything is not the right thing. The context is forgotten when the actions are forgotten regularly. People will think I will enrich the world by just chanting every morning loka samastha sukhino bhavanthu..that is not integrity and authenticity. So neither you can miss physical nor mental nor the context. When you hold all the three and perform, you go beyond the fetters of death …and exactly as Nachiketa asks, kaala gives the boon. Exact word kaala is using while giving boon. Means kaala is listening. He says they cast off the fetters of death. Please understand cast of fetters of death and being beyond being means state of completion. If you have done something wrong and still feel guilty about it still you are not complete about it. Being beyond grief you will not do it again and you decided not to do it again. Even if you are not doing it and are in grief, don’t take any decision now…some of them were feeling about inauthenticities in the past. I said break the personality that was inauthentic. When will that break. When you take integrity and authenticity and responsibility to be out of that grief. Enrich yourself and others. If you are in depression understand the person who did that to you he won the game. What is inauthenticity? Inauthenticity is grief and depression. Then the person who was putting you in depression he is victorious, he won the game. Don’t allow. That is why kaala is using the word beyond grief - he rejoices the realm of heaven. He lives in heaven forever. Means state of completion is heaven. But that is not enlightenment. Moksha is different. He rejoices in the realm of heaven. See if heaven itself is ultimate then Nachiketa would not have asked the 3rd boon. He asked the 3rd boon why? Because it is not ultimate. In heaven pizza is ultimate. In Kailaasa it is not ultimate. When you make the base with integrity, coverings of authenticity, cheese of responsibility and topping of enrichment cooking in the oven of enlightened master’s presence comes the pizza of enlightenment! Ensure the inauthenticity of the non-veg top in does not get in. Inauthenticity is the non-veg top in which you cannot afford. Dis-integrity is not even the non-veg topping, it is like ----- you imagine anything ! so integrity is the base, authenticity is the covering, responsibility is the cheese, enriching is the vegetables. Master’s presence is the oven in which you cook then it is Jeevanmukti Pizza! Like Ramana sanga appala paatu. I will sing a pizza song!

<Swamiji sings in Tamil>

So if you want to know the comment of this song, wait till tomorrow. We will move to the next segment of morning satsang – Dial The Avatar!

In Kailash when you ask for pleasures of heaven, MahaDeva also accepts and orders for things to be served.

But when the ganas forget the purpose of their origin and existence during the preparation of the pleasures, neither MahaDeva recognizes nor supports it. He just withdraws and falls back into samadhi.

Rishis are those who withdraw along with MahaDeva. Bhootas are those who miss and get into the pleasure instead. Those bhootas will get into the next janma as devas missing kailasa. When MahaDeva withdrew when you had the clarity to withdraw and save yourself – you are a rishi, gana, muni. Still you went ahead. After all it was ordered and delivered, why to waste Kubera’s money?

Pleasures of heaven are not wrong. but forgetting the ideals of Kailaasa is wrong which is not required for enjoying the pleasures of heaven. You need not to forget the ideals and need not be in disintegrity with kailasa space. As MahadDeva is bholenath he says yes for everything. When you ask, he says okay, come on, get it. Long long ago, once upon a time, in Kailaasa suddenly one day some ganas asked oh MahaDeva, it is long time we did not have feast with amrutha, shall we order it. MahaDeva as Bholenath laughed and said go ahead and get it! Suddenly some ganas jumped MahaDeva says who asked, then go and order. Order goes to swarga, in all different pots prep of amrutha is made. Before it reaches kailasa, these ganas jumped and said today we can drink amrutha and roll around, amrutha is much more than jeevan mukti, one more gana said enlightenment jeevanmukti all when you will get, let us drink amrutha and jump. Shiva is observing and closed his eyes and withdrew into samadhi and said he is not joining the party. Suddenly there was silence. Some bhootas realized they have done something wrong, some bhootas I am going to miss my pizza, some what is wrong if we made some fun after all he only ordered. If he would not have ordered we would not have said it…

Amrutha is not ultimate. The moment you said amrutha is immediate enlightenment is who knows when it will come? You already created the context and clearance for enlightenment not to happen to you. when you make a statement amrutha is tangible, enlightenment is not you already distanced yourself from the enlightenment experience. So each comment shows the space from which they are operating. MahaDeva says whoever wants to drink, drink. I am not going to drink. Even then because Kubera was standing there and saying all the way we brought it from there, transportation. Few ganas went and ate – drank the nectar. Few ganas ate, drank the nectar and few did not!

Chaitanya says if I make somebody have tears with joy and gratitude my day is made.

I bless you all who are sitting with us at this moment around the world in 679 places through Nithyananda TV, in 36 places through 2 way Video conferencing having Nayana Deeksha, in 297 cities, 29 countries around the world! Let you all achieve, experience, live, express, radiate, share and explode and enrich with eternal bliss, Nithyananda. Thank you!
