A homa fire burns in a brick-lined fire pit on a striped woven mat, with flames rising from glowing embers. Beside it, a metal tray holds yellow flower garlands, round yellow fruits wrapped in cloth and a silver basket of grain. On the right, a white cloth carries a colourful rangoli-style design in yellow, orange and black powders with red and yellow fruits and scattered petals. Flower garlands and a small brass lamp stand at the left edge, with more devotees' seated legs visible in the background. No one is clearly visible in the frame.2017-06-23June 23 20172017-06-23June 23 20172017-06-23April 26 20182018-04-26 +1 copiesMarch 27 20162016-03-27A homa fire ceremony in progress on a patterned striped cloth. A shirtless man in white dhoti with a red and gold head cloth, rudraksha and bead malas, stirs an offering with a wooden ladle over a brick fire pit where flames rise from logs. Coconuts, bananas, marigold and red flowers, and a brass kalasha with mango leaves and a coconut form the offerings beside him. A second man in white sits at the right edge. Behind, a red cushioned golden peetha throne stands empty. The scene is a ritual puja, not a portrait of a named person.2017-07-04 +1 copiesJuly 04 20172017-07-04 +2 copiesSeptember 27 20172017-09-27 +1 copiesA photograph of a ritual fire on a brick fire pit in front of a deity murti decorated with layered garlands of red, yellow, orange, white and purple flowers.
