A homa fire burns in a square stone fire pit lined with pink and white powder and scattered yellow marigold petals. Tall orange flames rise from the pit. Behind it, a brass bowl with a ladle sits beside a brass lamp with a flame, and a person in white with a red sash and gold necklaces and bangles is partly visible at upper left. Fresh coconut halves and loose flower garlands surround the pit, and incense sticks lie nearby. The person's face is not visible, so no one is identified.2016-03-27 +1 copiesFebruary 20 20162016-02-20 +1 copiesSeptember 27 20172017-09-27 +1 copiesJune 23 20172017-06-23April 14 20182018-04-14August 25 20172017-08-25December 10 20072007-12-10April 14 20182018-04-14August 25 20172017-08-25October 25 20062006-10-25A homa fire burns in a brick fire pit built from stacked orange-yellow bricks, with dried sticks and red flower petals placed around the flames and white powder sprinkled on the bricks. A bare-chested priest in a white dhoti sits behind the fire, his right hand extended over the pit while holding a bowl of liquid. To the right, a brass pedestal holds green banana leaves, white cloth strips, coconuts decorated with red flowers, and woven baskets of offerings. Brass vessels and a small metal cup sit in the foreground beside coconut halves. Colourful striped mats cover the ground above. The priest's face is not visible, so no a person candidate is established.2017-07-04 +1 copiesA homa fire ritual with flames and rising smoke over a brick-built fire pit decorated with yellow and red flowers and coloured powder markings. Brass bowls sit near the fire, and a long metal ladle or tool reaches toward the blaze. Partially visible hands and forearms of ritual participants wearing gold necklaces and dark-red clothing frame the edges. No clearly identifiable face is visible, so no a person candidate is shown.2015-07-17
