A priest in a white dhoti with a red and blue-striped border bends forward, reaching toward the fire with a long ladle or stick; his bare upper body is visible. Behind the fire, a flower-covered altar holds lemons, red fruit and a cloth decorated with yellow marigolds and red petals, with yellow flower garlands spilling beside it. A dark carved wooden door or panel with ornate relief stands in the background. A central fire blazes in a brick fire pit, and a priest bare-chested in a white dhoti with a red turban pours offerings into it from a brass vessel. Around the pit are marigold garlands, bowls of fruit, apples, brass vessels and kalasha pots draped in cloth. Several men sit on mats in white dhotis and rudraksha malas, and one man in saffron clothing is at the right edge. A man in the foreground with his back to the camera wears a rudraksha mala. Floral decorations and fruit offerings cover the ground around the fire.2016-08-05September 24 20122012-09-24June 23 20172017-06-23 +1 copiesMarch 06 20162016-03-06 +1 copiesA homa fire ritual in progress on a white tiled floor.
