A photograph of men bathing in a churning, white-frothed river. Many men are splashing and wading waist-deep, some with bare chests and dark swim shorts, one man in a white vest, another in a green shirt, and one in a dark tee on the left holding a chain or rope. A man in the foreground at lower right, bare-shouldered, looks toward the left and laughs. Water sprays up around them. A woman in a blue top appears at the left edge. No a person candidate is clearly identifiable from appearance, and no ritual setting is visible beyond the river bathing.

Several men stand waist-deep or on the steps, bare-chested or in shorts and swimwear, bathing and holding a metal chain anchored to posts in the water. A woman in a dark sari with a head covering stands at the water's edge near the chain. Stalls with tarpaulins, orange cloth and bundled goods line the left side, and multi-storey buildings with terracotta walls rise along the far bank under overcast sky. No a person candidate is visible.2014-07-21June 04 20162016-06-04Devotees bathe waist-deep in a churning, muddy river, with more bathers on the stone steps behind them. In the foreground a man in a black t-shirt printed with SHIVOGAM and a white-shirted man with his arm around him laugh and splash water. A man in a white shirt stands at right, and a small girl in a pink swimsuit smiles beside a man in a black t-shirt with grey hair. Many men are shirtless or in swim shorts, and some wear swim caps. No one visible is identifiable as a specific individual from appearance cues, so no a person candidate is marked.2014-07-27April 29 20182018-04-29July 27 20142014-07-27July 21 20142014-07-21
