Several young men, bare-chested and wearing orange and red dhotis with gold borders, play large silver-rimmed drums and hand drums. Women in orange and gold blouses and a teal saree dance and smile, with flower garlands and rudraksha beads visible. A blue umbrella and a pink umbrella shade the group, and onlookers stand behind a red wall. No clearly identifiable a person figure is visible in the scene.2016-12-23Five young male ascetic drummers in saffron-orange dhoti and shawls with red borders stand outdoors on a dirt ground in front of a low white wall with red pillars and green trees. Each wears rudraksha malas and white and red forehead markings. Several play barrel-shaped drums slung from white straps, one drummer strikes a small hand cymbal, and the man at right stands with his hands folded near his mouth. Dry leaves lie on the ground and a stone pile sits behind the wall.2014-08-31January 14 20182018-01-14January 01 20112011-01-01A procession crosses an open paved courtyard under a corrugated-roof pavilion, with palm trees behind. A long red carpet runs down the centre. A central man in a brown-gold dhoti with a gold necklace and a yellow-gold sash walks barefoot, with a large curved golden horn raised by a drummer at left and a crescent-shaped ornament held aloft. Around him, young men and women in saffron-orange robes walk in pairs, some with hands folded in namaskar, and one carries a tray of offerings. A woman in white with a garland, and a bald-headed boy in orange, complete the line. A drummer in red and white beats a barrel drum at left. The scene looks like a ritual or ceremonial procession.2013-07-25
