A man in saffron-red robes stands outdoors at dusk holding a lit oil lamp in one hand and a small brass bell in the other. He wears a long red and yellow marigold garland, a rudraksha mala with a ceremonial gold pendant, and a vibhuti or kumkum mark on his forehead. Beside him is an ornate brass pillar-style shrine or kalasha-topped structure draped with white and red flower garlands and leafy green branches, with a small deity murti visible inside. A second person with a white forehead mark is partially visible at the lower edge. Palm trees and dark foliage fill the background. Strong warm lamplight glows against the evening sky.2016-10-03Outdoor ritual scene under trees. A man with long, swept-back dark hair and a white tilak on his forehead, wearing a saffron-orange robe and a rudraksha mala, holds up a silver aarti lamp with a burning flame in his right hand while ringing a small silver handbell in his left. Several women in white and cream saris, some with yellow shawls, stand behind him; one holds a basket of offerings and another carries a blue bag. The appearance-based cues for Swamiji (probable) are present in the lead figure's long hair, saffron robe and rudraksha mala, performing the aarti at the Tiruvannamalai land during the Bhoomi Puja.2008-04-01August 17 20062006-08-17A photograph of a man in an orange-saffron dhoti with a bare upper body performing an aarti with a lit oil lamp, holding a brass bell in his other hand.
