A photograph of a figure seated on a golden ornate throne under a corrugated metal roof, heavily decorated with long garlands of red, orange, yellow, purple and white flowers. The seated figure wears a red turban, a leopard-print shawl, layered gold necklaces and a dark green cloth beneath. Its face is a painted statue head, so this is a murti or statue rather than a living person. In the foreground at left, a person with long dark hair wears a rust-red garment and gold bangles, and holds a garland while facing the statue, apparently offering it flowers in worship. Greenery and a palm leaf appear at the edge of the frame.2015-01-04January 04 20152015-01-04A photograph of a devotee in a rust-orange robe standing with bare shoulder and arm, holding flowers, facing a large statue seated on a throne. The statue wears an orange turban, gold necklaces and rudraksha-style beads, a leopard-print shawl, and a green draped cloth; it is heavily garlanded with red, orange, purple, white and yellow flower garlands. Gold-colored ornamental panels frame the throne and a corrugated roof covers the space. The devotee is a physical person; the seated figure is a statue, so no in-person candidate is present. Ritual honouring of a garlanded murti, possibly an abhishekam or puja setting.2015-01-04A photograph of a ceremonial procession under a corrugated metal roof. On the right, a large figure is almost completely covered in layered garlands of red, orange, purple and white roses and marigolds, with gold chains draped across it. The head wears a dark red turban and the body is wrapped in a leopard-print cloth over maroon and teal fabric. On the left, a partially visible person with bare upper body wears a red garland and gold armband and raises an arm. A white decorated object, possibly a swing or cradle frame, sits in the lower centre beside red metal posts.2015-01-04January 04 20152015-01-04December 11 20112011-12-11January 04 20152015-01-04A man with long dark hair and bare upper body, wearing an orange-saffron cloth draped over his shoulder, adorns a richly decorated deity murti with garlands. He is placing a yellow, orange and red flower garland around the murti's neck, which wears ornate gold jewellery, a crown and a blue and gold garment. Behind them is an ornate gold arch and red velvet drapes, with more floral garlands on the left and right. The man is shown from behind, so his face is not visible. The scene is a temple-style puja decoration setting.2015-01-09April 21 20152015-04-21December 22 20182018-12-22 +2 copiesJanuary 04 20152015-01-04January 04 20152015-01-04 +1 copies
