A large banyan tree with many hanging aerial roots and thick buttress trunks dominates the frame. Several people in white ritual clothing stand at its base among the roots: two men in white dhoti and shirt with shaved or close-cropped heads, and a woman in a white top with a backpack and yellow pants who is taking a photograph. To the right, a figure in orange robes stands near a white arch with a photographer, and a woman in white stands beside a tray of orange-red offerings. Reddish earth lies at the tree's base.2010-10-05A photograph of a large ancient banyan tree with thick aerial roots and sprawling branches at an outdoor temple grounds. At the base, exposed roots are being tended by a woman in a red sari with gold-patterned blouse, her hand reaching toward the roots near a small stone shelf holding offerings. Behind her a person in white sits on a raised stone platform with a camera, and in the foreground a shaved-headed man in saffron-orange robes with a rudraksha mala stands at the left edge. Metal railings, sand-coloured earth, and prayer mats surround the sacred tree area.2014-06-06April 03 20162016-04-03A photograph of a large, ancient banyan tree with dense aerial roots and sprawling branches forming a canopy over a red-earth ground enclosed by a low stone platform. Stone slab pathway runs between low red-painted brick borders. Two people walk along the path: a man in an orange-red dhoti and a shawl draped over one shoulder, with a dark wrapped headpiece, and a younger person in saffron-orange robes with long dark hair, both looking down toward the ground. A third person in white clothing stands at the right edge. The setting resembles a temple construction area around a sacred tree.2018-02-01A photograph of a kara seva work site under a large spreading banyan tree on bare red earth at AdiKailaasa. Several people in white clothes work with tools: one bends low over the ground at right, another stands at a mound of reddish soil, and others stand around under the branches, one woman in a green sari, a man in white with an orange cloth. Large rocks lie on the ground, a white plastic container sits near the centre, and a wire fence and poles are visible behind.
