A photograph of a large, ancient banyan tree with dense aerial roots and sprawling branches forming a canopy over a red-earth ground enclosed by a low stone platform. Several people in white clothing sit or stand around the tree: one seated figure in white with a shaved head is on the right on a stone ledge, another seated in white is at left, and a standing woman in white clothing stands near the trunk. White cylindrical pillars surround the tree.
