The figures are dull bronze-coloured standing deities, with the central one holding a long staff or weapon, and bottom stubs of metal still attached. A bare-footed craftsman in a blue and white checked lungi sits at lower left, with a pair of sandals visible at right and a round metal bowl of liquid at top. Dust and sand scatter the floor.A photograph of outdoor sculpture work on dry reddish-brown earth. Large clay or mud forms with cracked surfaces lie on a blue tarpaulin and sacking laid over concrete slabs. No people are visible, and no event or ritual is shown beyond the sculpting work.2013-06-07February 02 20072007-02-02 +2 copiesJuly 13 20132013-07-13 +1 copiesOutdoors on bare red earth, two large clay sculptural forms rest on wooden planks supported by concrete blocks. Each form is a rough, unfinished clay model of a body part, with textured surface and cracks. Behind them stand two large grey-brown cylindrical clay or concrete pots, green shrubs grow at the back, and a blue tarpaulin and cloth lie on the ground at left. No people are visible. The image is a photograph taken at a sculpture-making site.2006-12-10A photograph of a workshop floor covered with broken and partly finished sculpted statue parts, including large limbs, feet, and fragments of figures coated in pale plaster and clay with some painted in red and gold. The pieces lie on reddish earth beside a low concrete wall topped with woven bamboo matting. A white plastic chair sits at the right edge, and a folded newspaper lies among the debris. No people are visible.2009-09-22
