In the foreground, several decorated utsava murtis of deities stand on red and orange cloths, with a blue cloth spread on the floor. A standing figure in a yellow dhoti and yellow shawl with a beaded mala around the neck gestures toward the murtis, appearing to address or instruct them. Red and white striped walls and a palm tree are visible outside the shrine pavilion.2010-12-23Night photo inside a temple shrine with gold-framed arches and maroon drapes. Central deity murti shows a multi-armed Shiva form with a trident and a crown, garlanded in pink and yellow flowers, flanked by a figure in blue with a tall crown and a woman-like figure in purple with garlands. Two more standing statues stand at the sides, one in a red turban holding a lamp stand. A saffron-robed priest with a shaved head performs worship at the base of the central murti. In the foreground, a seated man in a red-and-white seat wears a gold-and-red beaded necklace, with a small bell-like lamp stand nearby. Brass oil lamps stand at the edges.2017-09-17A standing man in saffron-orange robes with gold-edged trim and a gold-bead necklace stands with palms pressed together at a ritual stage, eyes closed. Beside him is a large blue-skinned deity murti of Kali with a white crown, yellow marigold garlands and red flowers, standing on a red satin cloth. Brass oil lamps burn in the foreground, with a brass kalasha and a small offering vessel. A smaller deity figure stands behind the murti near a gilded arch. Partially visible hanging banners and a Kannada-script signboard appear in the background.2011-10-26A man in saffron-orange robes with gold trim and a gold-bead mala necklace stands at the right, hands pressed together in namaste, smiling toward a blue-skinned deity murti with a white crown and yellow marigold garlands, holding up a red-tipped hand. Behind it sits a second murti with a decorated gold arch and a red cloth-draped platform, and brass oil lamps and a brass vessel with flower garlands stand in the foreground on a red silk cloth. The scene looks like a puja or stage setting beneath a backdrop with a purple bird emblem.2011-10-26A barefoot man in a yellow dhoti and matching yellow shawl, with a long yellow garland around his neck, stands with hands joined in a temple hall. Behind him a deity murti sits on a raised altar draped in yellow cloth and decorated with red and orange flower garlands. Smaller metal utsava murtis stand on pink and orange cloth in the foreground, including a figure in an orange and gold shawl and two figures in blue and pink dress. Orange walls with white and red striped trim, red curtains, a brass lamp and a kalasha frame the scene, with palm trees visible outside.2010-12-23October 26 20112011-10-26A photograph inside a stone temple pavilion with carved pillars and a red velvet drape. Two deity murtis stand on a white-draped platform, one with a green and orange crown and garlands, the other in red with a crown. A man with long dark hair in an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl stands barefoot before the murtis, alongside a man in a yellow robe. In the foreground a second figure in orange robes bends toward the platform, with brass lamps, a kalasha and offering vessels arranged in front. A possible a person cue: the standing man has long swept-back hair and saffron ornate clothing, but identity is uncertain from appearance alone. The scene appears to be a puja or padapuja before the murtis.2007-08-09A stage set up as a temple-like hall with several golden thrones and deity murtis garlanded with marigolds and multicolored flower garlands. A bald man in a brown-orange robe stands at the lower centre with his arm extended toward a miniature forest scene of plants, rocks and a painted backdrop. Behind him are a seated figure in saffron-colored cloth and a golden lion-like figure beside a throne. Spotlights hang from the ceiling above dark red drapes. The standing man is visible from behind and his face is not shown, so no identification is made; he is described only by his role as a presenter at the arrangement.2015-01-09March 02 20112011-03-02
