The standing figure wears an orange saffron garment over a leopard-print top, a gold necklace and a rudraksha-style mala, and raises both palms in greeting while smiling. Behind the central murti stand additional gold figures and a further garlanded image to the right. Brass oil lamps and a small white offering sit on the platform in front, with a golden canopy arch overhead.2013-03-10March 03 20112011-03-03March 03 20112011-03-03January 01 20122012-01-01March 03 20112011-03-03A photograph inside a shrine with dark stone pillars and wooden-framed glass walls. At centre, a smiling man with long dark hair, a rudraksha mala and a saffron-orange dhoti and shawl stands with palms pressed together beside a richly decorated deity murti. The murti and an adjacent figure are draped in thick garlands of red, orange, yellow and white flowers, with a gilded arch behind. Brass oil lamps, a hand bell, a kalasha-style brass vessel, a plate of flowers and fruit, and folded white cloths sit on the stone platform. Through the glass, a few small figures are visible outside. The image is credited to Nithyanandapedia as a press photo, so the identity of the standing man is not established by appearance alone.2013-03-10Outdoor temple shrine with carved grey stone pillars and orange drapes. Centre: a deity murti with a crown and a large garland of yellow, red and green flowers. Two standing figures in lavender robes flank the shrine, their hands raised in blessing. Brass oil lamps stand on either side, a brass vessel and offerings lie in front, and a decorated golden throne with a garland sits to the right. A young man in lavender robes and a beaded necklace stands in front, mid-gesture, with bare feet and marigold petals on the floor.2010-12-28
