The seated figure sits on an ornate gold-and-red throne with carved gold panels. Trays of purple-wrapped sweets sit on a wooden side table and a red-covered surface nearby, and a pink wall with a dark curtain forms the backdrop.2011-02-20A photograph of a seated man in an orange saffron robe with a dark hair knot and a gold ceremonial necklace placing both hands on the forehead of a kneeling man in a white kurta. The seated man sits on a red cushioned throne with gold carved armrests, and a tray of wrapped purple-and-silver sweets sits on a side table beside him. A gold-framed backdrop and a dark curtain fill the background. The seated man has long swept-back hair, saffron clothing and gold beads, which is consistent with the Swamiji (probable) appearance cues, so he is presented as the initiating teacher giving a blessing, while the kneeling devotee receives it.2011-02-202004 - sacred collections uncategorisedA photograph of a seated figure in saffron/orange robes and an orange turban on an ornate golden lion-carved throne, with a kneeling devotee in white kurta and dhoti before him. The seated figure rests a hand on the kneeling man's head in a blessing gesture, while the devotee's hands rest on the throne's carved base. A brass bowl sits on a red and patterned rug in the foreground, and a lattice screen is behind.2004 - sacred collections uncategorisedA long-haired man in an orange saffron garment with bare shoulders and a small red tilak on his forehead sits on an ornate gold and red throne, reaching forward to place his hand on the head of a man in a white kurta who bends forward in front of him. Behind them hangs a dark purple curtain, and gilded carved details frame the throne. The seated figure's long swept-back hair, saffron clothing and ceremonial throne match the cues for Swamiji (probable), shown in the role of the presiding teacher blessing an initiate in a sannyasi training session.2006-08-22August 22 20062006-08-22Indoor blessing scene. A man in saffron-orange robes and a matching orange turban sits on an ornate gilded throne carved with a lion figure, its hand raised over the head of a kneeling young man in white kurta and dhoti. The kneeling devotee bows on a red cushioned footstool over a patterned rug, with brass plates at the base of the throne. A woman in a blue floral sari stands in the background beside a lattice screen. The orange-clad figure is an appearance-based probable match for a person, identifiable by the saffron turban and robes, with the seated blessing role; the image shows no printed name.February 09 20122012-02-09February 09 20122012-02-09
