A man in saffron-orange robes and a matching orange turban sits on an ornate gilded throne carved with a lion figure, its hand raised over the head of a kneeling young man in white kurta and dhoti. The kneeling devotee bows on a red cushioned footstool over a patterned rug, with brass plates at the base of the throne. A woman in a blue floral sari stands in the background beside a lattice screen. The orange-clad figure is an appearance-based probable match for a person, identifiable by the saffron turban and robes, with the seated blessing role; the image shows no printed name.A seated man in an orange saffron robe with a gold-bead and gold-ornament necklace, long dark hair tied back, places both hands on the forehead of a kneeling devotee in a white shirt and white dhoti. The seated figure sits on an ornate gold-and-red throne with carved gold panels. Trays of purple-wrapped sweets sit on a wooden side table and a red-covered surface nearby, and a pink wall with a dark curtain forms the backdrop.2011-02-20A seated figure in a saffron-orange turban and golden-bordered orange shawl rests both hands on the head of a kneeling man in a white kurta, who has a dark rudraksha mala around his neck and bows with eyes closed and palms pressed to his chest. The seated figure has long dark hair and a bare upper back, sitting on a bed with a patterned blanket and white pillows. Behind them, several people in white garments stand on a dark red patterned carpet beside a vase of yellow flowers and a tree. The scene resembles a blessing or head-touching gesture in a hotel room.2004-08-21August 29 20112011-08-29 +1 copies2004 - sacred collections uncategorisedA seated figure in a flowing saffron-orange robe with long dark hair sits on an ornate gold throne carved with floral and figural motifs, decorated with red and yellow flowers and green foliage. A bald man in a white t-shirt and light blue trousers, with a yellow lanyard, bends forward while the robed figure places a hand on his forehead, appearing to bless him. Visible partial figures in orange stand at the left edge near a small table with objects. The scene reads as a blessing given during a public gathering.2009-11-17November 26 20112011-11-26A photograph of a seated bare-chested man in a tiger-striped garment and gold waist belt placing his right hand on the forehead of an older man in a yellow head wrap and cream robe, with hands pressed together in namaste. The seated man has a rudraksha-style bead necklace and gold chain. Behind them, a carved silver throne-back and a red cushioned seat stand under a canopy of colorful tasselled fabric. Several people in white and red-scarved attire stand in the background near potted plants, and a large lamp sits at upper right. The scene suggests a blessing or pada-puja style ritual.2012-12-20
