In the foreground centre, a young man with short dark hair and white sacred ash on his forehead, bare-chested with rudraksha malas and orange cloth wrapped at his waist, holds a golden tray with two ornate gold vessels and flowers, possibly for ritual offering. Behind him a woman in an orange sari with a red bindi and bangles walks alongside, and a tall orange pole rises beside them under a hanging decorative canopy. Around them are many people in orange and white clothing, some with white forehead marks, and a few blurred figures in the foreground. The background shows a crowd of onlookers, many in white and orange, under a hazy sky.2017-01-08Close photo of young boys and sannyasi-style devotees in saffron-orange cloth during a Maheshwara Puja-type ritual. A smiling boy with rudraksha beads and an orange sash has his face touched by an adult hand holding food offering, pinda-like rice or sweet. Other participants with white tripundra-style forehead markings and white body marks stand nearby, some holding offerings; a woman with hair in a bun is seen from behind in an orange garment.
