Photograph of several young shaved-headed and long-haired boys seated in a row on a stone platform during a ritual. The foreground boy with a white vibhuti line on his forehead and a rudraksha mala holds a lit taper or incense stick toward a fire, while others beside him in saffron and orange cloth hold lit tapers. Brass pots and kalasha vessels sit along the platform, and smoke rises from the flame. Other figures are partly visible at the edges.

A shirtless young man with dreadlocks and a white tilak on his forehead carries a gold tray with two ornate gold vessels, flowers and red offerings across a pale open courtyard. He wears a white dhoti with gold borders, a red bindi and a rudraksha mala with a pendant. Behind him, a woman in an orange sari with a red hair ribbon walks, and to the left a person in a maroon patterned kurta carries an orange bag. Late sunlight warms the scene.

A young boy with a shaved head and white sacred markings on his body stands at the centre, wearing a rudraksha mala necklace and a white thread, and opens his mouth toward a food offering. Around him, bare-chested men wear saffron-orange dhotis with gold borders and rudraksha malas and bracelets. A hand on the right holds a portion of yellow rice food being offered, as part of a Maheshwara Puja style food offering ritual. Several other devotees stand in the background.

Photograph of a shaved-to-long-hair disciple-style group in saffron/orange cloth at an ashram ritual. In the foreground a bare-chested young man with long matted hair, white tripundra on the forehead, rudraksha malas and a pendant wears an orange wrap and holds a pile of yellow flower petals in both hands. A second young man beside him, also bare-chested with long hair and a rudraksha mala, holds yellow flowers. Behind them many other people in orange cloth bend forward, offering flowers, and a gilded lattice panel stands at right. The scene suggests a pushpa puja or flower offering.

A young child with a bare upper body stands centre-frame at a ritual event, holding a bundle of yellow flowers in both hands. The child wears orange dhoti-style cloth with a gold-bordered sash, rudraksha beads around the neck and wrists, and white ash markings on the chest and arms, with a red tilak on the forehead. Behind, other children in orange cloth stand on a colourful striped mat, and a blurred orange-robed adult is at the right edge. Drums and decorations appear in the soft-focus background.

Night-time photograph of a young man in an orange-saffron shawl draped over bare shoulders, facing left, holding an ornate silver-and-gold bowl in both hands. Vertical white ash markings on his forehead and arms. Behind him a younger boy wearing a white dhoti with gold border and a white sacred thread, also with white markings on his skin, walks in the same direction. Dark blurred background with partial figures at the edges.

A group of young boys and men seated cross-legged on a pink cloth during a ritual ceremony. The central boy wears an orange saffron wrap with gold border and a white sacred thread, holding a small brass spoon and cord over brass oil lamps and bowls. Other participants wear white dhotis with gold borders and orange wraps, some with rudraksha beads and vermilion on their foreheads. Brass kalashas, brass lamps and a small clear plastic container sit on the cloth in front of them.
