Coconut palms surround the pole, and stone sculptures stand to the left near a white boundary wall. At the right, a crowd of devotees gathers in the background, several wearing white and orange clothing, with yellow and orange ceremonial umbrellas visible. The scene suggests a flag-hoisting ceremony, but no specific individual is clearly identifiable.2010-02-12December 17 20062006-12-17Night-time outdoor festival scene at a large open ground. In the foreground a dark silhouetted figure stands on a wooden frame, arms outstretched, sparks flying from a bright light beam. On the left, a decorated golden deity murti or float is lit with oil lamps and torches, with several white-clad attendants holding flames. Smoke drifts across the scene. Behind, a long line of people in white and saffron clothing stands along a row, under strings of coloured lights and a canopy. Tall poles and decorative garlands frame the area.2016-01-02December 30 20182018-12-30 +1 copiesAugust 20 20062006-08-20September 26 20162016-09-26
