Outdoor dhvajarohanam flag-hoisting at dusk beside a copper-coloured flagstaff wrapped with green leaves and draped with red and yellow marigold garlands. A figure in orange and saffron robes with gold-toned necklaces and bangles pulls a rope to raise an orange flag, face lifted upward. Coconut palms and a deep blue evening sky frame the scene. Two other robed figures in orange stand nearby, one looking up, and a bald devotee in the foreground is partly visible.

Low-angle view against a dusk-blue sky of a large copper ornamental finial mounted on a copper pole. The copper piece has scalloped, repoussé-style curves and a central round boss, with a red cloth draped over its top and a white flower garland with a small wick or stem at the peak. The pole and a square copper plate behind it show polished, hammered copper bands. No people are visible.

Outdoor photo at dusk of a bare-chested man in orange-red dhoti with gold border and a long red and white flower garland, reaching up to tie an orange cord around a copper dhwajastambha (flagpole) mounted on a pink-red stone base. The base is decorated with yellow marigold garlands, a golden deity murti in a niche, and white feathery bundles; coconut palms frame the sky. A bald man in orange clothing is partly visible at the lower right, assisting. The scene suggests a flag-hoisting ritual at a temple.

Outdoor evening scene at dusk with a tall copper-and-wood ratha or chariot-like structure topped with a mango-leaf canopy and white flower garlands. A man with bare upper body and a saffron-orange dhoti pulls an orange rope tied to the structure, his right arm raised. He wears a red-and-multicolour beaded mala and a gold necklace, with gold bangles. Palm trees and a dark sky form the background, with a camera and a partially visible bald head at the lower edges.

Dusk photograph of a tall copper-banded flagstaff, its base wrapped in green leaves, marigold garlands and a carved stone plinth, with a red flag and a small pot with flowers at its top. A man in a red-and-gold dhoti and garland stands at the pole, holding a rope that runs up to the flag, with palm trees behind and a few onlookers' heads and a phone visible in the lower right. Printed copyright text in the lower right corner.

A photograph looking up at a tall ornate brass or copper pole topped by a carved wooden bracket with scalloped edges and round brass fittings. A bundle wrapped in red and white cloth with orange cord hangs from the bracket, surrounded by green leaves, and orange ropes run up to the top. The sky behind is pale blue. No people are visible in the frame.

A tall golden ornamental pole with tiered wooden or brass ledges, pointed finials, hanging bells and a red cloth streamer stands against a pale blue dusk sky with a crescent moon at right. Palm fronds frame the lower left. No people are visible; the pole resembles a ritual flag or ratha-style standard.

Upward view of a tall copper-clad pole rising against a clear blue sky beside a coconut palm. Its base is a dark carved stone or wood plinth draped with white and marigold garlands, topped with green leaves and a palm-frond tuft. Two bare-chested men in orange-red dhotis reach up toward the top of the pole, one with long dark hair tied up. A string of small lights runs along the edge of a shaded canopy at the top left, and a saffron flag is tied near the pole's tip. The scene suggests a ritual pole raising at an ashram or temple.
