Outdoor ritual at a tall copper pillar with a carved base, decorated with a yellow and orange marigold garland, set on a red platform beneath coconut palms. Three male devotees stand before it: a young man in orange robes holds a small lamp and a plate, a bald man in orange robes with a bare-shouldered wrap faces the pillar, and a man in a white dhoti with a maroon-bordered shawl stands beside them. Others are partly visible at the right edge, hands joined in prayer. Grey sky above.

Outdoor photo of a tall copper flagpole with ringed segments, topped with a decorative base wrapped in marigold garlands and a dark brown fringed ornament. A saffron-coloured flag hangs from the pole. Several men in orange-saffron dhotis, some bare-chested, hoist or hold the pole and flag beneath a grey overcast sky with palm trees. A crowd of onlookers stands at the lower left edge. The scene suggests a flag-raising ceremony.

A crowd of devotees in white and cream clothing and a woman in a red shawl watches from the front and left, some with hands folded. Grey statues and a stone figure stand in the background.
