Close overhead photo of a sand-drawn ritual diagram on a beach, traced with lines and marked with kumkum and turmeric powder at its points. Three green limes sit at its centre. Two people sit at the edges: one in an orange-red garment with hands pressed together and rudraksha-style beads on the wrist, and one with hands folded on the right, wearing a gold ring. A white cloth and a woven mat are visible at the corners. No face of a person is clearly visible, so no appearance-based candidate is identified.

A man in orange robes and a rudraksha mala sits cross-legged on a raised red platform before a tall copper pillar with hanging garlands. Near him a small brass vessel sits on a white cloth, and a colourful geometric rangoli with yellow flower petals decorates the ground in the foreground. Several white-clad men sit in meditation on a mat to the right, and a small fire with smoke rises near the seated figures.2010-10-08Outdoor beach ritual on sand. A central figure with long dreadlocks, white-marked forehead, red tilak, and layered rudraksha malas and bracelets, dressed in maroon cloth, kneels and gestures over a floral arrangement. Around him, sadhus in red and orange garments and bare-chested men in white dhotis with gold borders assist, offering flowers, banana fruit and an oil lamp burning on a tray. Pink and red petals and marigold-like blooms surround a coiled rope-like ring on the sand. A brass-tinged silver box of petals sits on a small wooden stand.2018-04-28Overhead photo of a ritual mandala laid on a white cloth, made of coloured grains and powders in brown, yellow and green with a border of gold-toned beads and small garlands. Four radiating arms form a symmetrical design, with a central square and a small metal ornament at the centre. Scattered petals and kumkum-like red dots decorate the surface. At the edges are brass oil lamps, a brass bowl, flower garlands, and the lower legs of people in pale and saffron-coloured clothing. This appears to be a mandala process for a homa and samaya deeksha ceremony.2015-07-17January 15 20172017-01-15
