A photograph of men and boys standing waist-deep in fast, muddy river water beside a stone embankment. Several people hold a long metal chain strung between upright posts driven into the riverbed. A man in a bright yellow-orange shirt with red lower garments grips the chain at centre. Shirtless boys and men in shorts and a checked shirt also grip the chain, steadying themselves against the current. Rain and swollen brown water dominate the scene.
