Each form is a rough, unfinished clay model of a body part, with textured surface and cracks. Behind them stand two large grey-brown cylindrical clay or concrete pots, green shrubs grow at the back, and a blue tarpaulin and cloth lie on the ground at left. No people are visible. The image is a photograph taken at a sculpture-making site.2006-12-10August 29 20142014-08-29May 27 20072007-05-27Photograph of a ritual at night in which a figure in orange robes with long dark wavy hair sits cross-legged on a mat, holding a large round grey stone or mortar dish and pouring or applying a wet grey paste into a square pit or foundation in the concrete floor. The paste is glistening and wet. Beside him, to the left, a man in white dhoti and white shirt with an orange cloth over his shoulder leans forward with his hands pressed toward the wet mud. Behind them, another person in white clothing stands with cupped hands, and a hand from a further figure reaches in from the right. The background is a plain stone wall. Scene suggests a sanctum consecration preparation, with the mud-filled square as the central focus.2006-12-11
