Night outdoor ritual at a golden cobra-hooded Shiva lingam altar strung with yellow and pink flower garlands beneath a tree. A bare-chested man with a shaved head, white vibhuti marks and a white sacred thread reaches out to offer something white at the lingam. Beside him a young shirtless boy in an orange cloth draped over his shoulder holds a brass pot. A woman in a blue sari with a red bindi watches at the rail, and a few onlookers stand behind a metal barrier. Strings of lights and a corrugated roof frame the scene.

Night-time temple ritual at an outdoor shrine. A shirtless older man in a white dhoti with white vibhuti marks on his forehead holds a white cloth over a golden cobra-hooded deity murti with a tall silver lingam-type vessel and white-and-yellow flower garlands. Beside him a shaved-headed young priest wears an orange saffron cloth draped over his shoulders and a wristwatch, with white ash smeared on his arms and chest, and holds a brass pot. A woman in a grey sari with a pink-and-purple shawl stands with palms pressed together in prayer behind the shrine, and several devotees with ash marks watch from the background under tree branches and string lights.

Night-time outdoor ritual photograph. A shirtless man with a white and red forehead marking and a red and black wristband stands at left-centre, reaching up to pour or touch water over a golden cobra-hooded statue, its hood raised above a flower-garlanded silver-and-glass vessel. Beside him a second man in an orange-saffron shawl and white dhoti holds a brass pot and bangles. Hanging green leaves, a corrugated metal roof and string lights frame the scene, with a few onlookers visible at the bottom edge. The visible action resembles abhishekam at a shrine.
