A photograph inside a temple shrine showing a deity murti of a goddess with a golden face and crown, draped in a red and gold embroidered cloth and dense yellow and red marigold and rose garlands. A man in a saffron-orange dhoti with a yellow and gold border and multiple yellow and white flower garlands sits at left, smiling and holding yellow marigold petals in his hands toward the murti in an offering gesture. Long swept-back hair and a white forehead mark are visible; he wears gold bangles and red thread on his wrist. At right, a man with folded palms in a white and beige kurta and a red thread bracelet bows in devotion. Silver pillars frame the shrine behind them, and fresh flowers lie on a tray in the foreground. The scene suggests puja and darshan.2014-02-01January 31 20142014-01-31A photo of a seated ritual in a temple sanctum with silver-clad pillars. A figure in saffron-brown robes with a gold-bordered dhoti, a yellow and white flower garland, a tilak on the forehead and gold armlet sits cross-legged and offers flower petals from a brass plate onto a deity murti. The deity wears a red and magenta silk cloth draped over a large yellow marigold garland and a gold crown. A second man in a light brown shawl and white dhoti stands at right holding petals. A brass kalasha and small oil lamps sit on the floor with yellow flowers.2014-02-01September 13 20152015-09-13 +1 copiesJanuary 31 20142014-01-31A temple ritual before a golden deity shrine. A long-haired man in saffron robes and a red-and-white garland stands centre, smiling, touching a gold plate held by a younger saffron-robed assistant on the left wearing a gold-beaded necklace. Behind them, a golden lingam-like object is draped with yellow, red and white flower garlands and a rudraksha mala, and two larger deity statues in orange and gold garments stand on the right, one wearing a crown and holding a sacred item. Marigold and multicoloured flower garlands frame the scene under an ornate carved stone arch. Appearance-based a person cues: long swept-back hair, saffron robes, rudraksha mala and ceremonial gold necklace, in a role of officiating priest in the ritual.2012-01-01January 01 20132013-01-01 +1 copiesAugust 15 20102010-08-15October 24 20102010-10-24July 27 20142014-07-27May 25 20132013-05-25A smiling man with swept-back dark hair, gold tilak and a red bindi sits before an ornate silver-embossed backdrop behind a window grille. He wears a marigold garland and a rust-red shawl, and his hands hold an orange cloth that another person, visible only as a forearm with a rudraksha-bead bracelet and wristwatch, is presenting to him from the foreground. The scene appears to be a ceremonial offering of cloth. Appearance-based identification is probable: the swept-back hair, saffron-orange cloth, marigold garland and rudraksha wristwear fit the Swamiji presentation, so this is Swamiji (probable) receiving an orange garment as a devotee presents it.2014-01-13
