A multi-tiered silver oil lamp with many lit flames stands at left, held by a hand in a saffron sleeve and a bangle, and a second tall figure in orange clothing and a bead necklace appears on a large backdrop at left edge. A red velvet-covered table is draped with a yellow and black tiger-striped cloth, with pink roses in a green vase and a silver tray with a small offering at bottom right. Ritual aarti in a satsang setting.2012-09-14December 16 20132013-12-16A large gilded framed portrait labelled "Paramahamsa Nithyananda" stands on a golden altar flanked by two golden lion sculptures. The portrait shows a smiling man in an orange turban and orange shawl with a red bindi. In front of it, a silver multi-tiered oil lamp with many lit wicks is being held up, and a person in white clothing at lower right lifts a small lamp. A tiger-skin cloth lies on the altar, and a backdrop of Balinese-style carved gold panels and temple imagery surrounds the shrine. Two people are partly visible at the bottom, one holding the tall lamp and one with a bare shaved head. This is a puja setting honouring the portrait, which is a depiction.2013-12-16July 18 20132013-07-18A brass multi-tiered oil lamp with several rows of lit flames is held upright in the foreground by a hand at the bottom edge of the frame. Behind it, out of focus, a large framed photograph shows a smiling man with a shaved head wearing a saffron-orange robe and a matching orange head covering. Red draped fabric and bamboo-like vertical slats form the blurred background. Only partial hands and a head are visible at the lower left, with no clearly visible standing people.2014-07-16A raised arm and hand hold a silver multi-wick aarti lamp with five lit flames, shaped with ornamental scroll arms, in the foreground. Behind it stands a framed portrait of a smiling man wearing an orange-saffron turban and orange robe, set within an ornate gold arched frame against a red backdrop. The portrait is a printed picture, not a physical person. Only a partial head and the raised hand of one physical person are visible, with a gold bangle on the wrist. The scene suggests a devotional aarti offering before a portrait.2014-03-14
