A brass multi-tiered oil lamp with several rows of lit flames is held upright in the foreground by a hand at the bottom edge of the frame. Behind it, out of focus, a large framed photograph shows a smiling man with a shaved head wearing a saffron-orange robe and a matching orange head covering. Red draped fabric and bamboo-like vertical slats form the blurred background. Only partial hands and a head are visible at the lower left, with no clearly visible standing people.
