Its flames flicker across each ornate silver tray, with carved bulbous knobs between the levels. Behind it, blurred gold and red decor and a shrine-like structure suggest a temple setting. No people are visible in the frame.2013-09-06A brass multi-tiered oil lamp with several rows of lit flames is held upright in the foreground by a hand at the bottom edge of the frame. The brass is ornately engraved with floral and bulbous knob designs. A hand grips the long handle at the lower left. Behind the lamp, in the dark background, a blurred microphone is visible at the right, and a faint indistinct figure can be seen. Smoke drifts from the flames. The setting suggests an aarti or ritual lamp offering.2011-09-09March 07 20132013-03-07July 31 20132013-07-31
