Yellow marigolds, red roses, pink and white petals and a white flower fill brass bowls and plates. Several brass oil lamps with lit wicks sit among the petals, with a white conch shell, a small brass bell and a brass vessel on the right. A pair of hands holding a small brass spoon appears at the top right, and an orange cloth lies beside the tray. Rudraksha beads and red flowers are at the left edge, next to a small framed picture. The scene shows an offering being prepared with flowers, lamps and sacred objects, with no visible person's face.2013-07-29Close-up photograph of a ceremonial kalasha or sacred pot draped in a white cloth with a green and gold border, heavily garlanded with red and yellow flowers, green leaves, and jewelled ornaments with blue stones. Silver plates and bowls hold yellow marigold petals, a basket and plate of red rose petals, folded saffron and brown cloth, a silver incense holder with lit sticks, a small silver kalasha with a spout, and a stone pedestal with yellow flowers. At the right edge, a seated man in white dhoti with saffron shawl and a pink cloth behind him performs the ritual.
