Nearby are a grey metal funnel-shaped pipe, a coiled beige hose, a grey stone slab leaning on the ground, a folded cement sack, a grey jug and corrugated sheets. The ground is bare red earth with sparse dry grass.2007-05-27A photograph of an excavated rectangular pit dug into reddish-brown earth, with straight walls of layered soil and a flat floor of grey gravel and small stones. Patches of green grass grow along the top edge, and a grey stone pillar or block stands at the upper right. No people are visible; the pit appears to be an early construction foundation site.November 16 20062006-11-16Making Of Sacred Arts UniversityA photograph of a deep rectangular excavation pit in reddish-brown earth at a construction site. Seven men work in the pit and along its edges: some bend and dig with hand tools and shovels, one swings a pickaxe-like tool, and others in striped, checked and green shirts and dhotis or trousers stand watching. Several wear colourful checked or striped headcloths. Above the pit, the tops of two people in orange saffron robes and one in white are partly visible at the frame's upper edge. The ground around the pit is bare dirt with scattered stone and rubble.2006-10-25December 19 20092009-12-19April 24 20132013-04-24A photograph of a construction site showing a large excavated pit with muddy, water-filled ground in the foreground. Tan earth banks rise on the sides, with a concrete wall and a few scattered wooden stakes along the upper edge. Beyond a low fence, a row of tall coconut palms and green shrubs stands under a pale blue sky. No people are visible.2008-05-14December 12 20062006-12-12A photograph of a large rectangular excavation in reddish-brown earth at a temple construction site, for the foundation of a devalayam. Five labourers work inside the pit: a man in a white shirt and white dhoti swings a pickaxe at the bottom, while others in checked shirts, a green shirt with a headband, and a pink shirt use shovels and metal trays to clear soil. A bare-chested man in a grey shirt and red checked lungi stands at the right edge, and a few white-clad figures are seen in the distance near small buildings. Piled bricks, a blue tarpaulin and loose tools lie on the ground.2006-10-25
