A small purple object sits at the upper left edge.2013-04-24Close-up photograph of loose reddish-brown soil or sand in a shallow metal tray or trough. A person in white clothing kneels at the right edge, with only a white-clad leg and dark foot visible, partly blurred. A rusty metal post or pillar stands in the upper left background. Ground texture with small pebbles is visible in the foreground.2013-04-24Close overhead view of a single bare footprint pressed into wet reddish-brown mud, with the sole's toe and heel outline clearly impressed and some grass blades and small pebbles at the edges. No people are visible; the image shows only the muddy ground surface.2010-07-11A close photograph of a heap of fine tan-brown sand or earth filling most of the frame. A person's hands, blurred in motion, sift or spread the granular material at the top right, with a white garment sleeve visible at the upper edge. Small pebbles and clumps are scattered across the surface, and dark shadows fall across the lower portion. No faces are visible, no ritual objects are present, and the scene appears to show a hands-on preparatory or ground-level activity.2013-04-24Close-up photograph of a sandy ground surface with uneven ripples and small dark pebbles or grains scattered across it, lit by soft diffuse light with a patch of brighter sand at the top left. A few thin dry stems or fibres lie in the sand. No people, ritual objects or figures are visible.2015-12-06A photograph of a freshly dug rectangular pit in reddish-brown earth at an outdoor site, with scattered stones and clods of soil around its edges. A metal rod stands upright beside the pit. At upper left, a small oil lamp with a flame sits on the ground, and at right a silver tray holds a lit flame near a person's hand. Partial figures are visible at the top edge: legs in white dhoti-style clothing and a figure in orange and gold garments, with cut-off feet and legs but no identifiable faces. The ground shows dried grass and a curved wire piece.2016-09-15 +1 copiesClose overhead photograph of a freshly formed mud lingam, a smooth cylindrical shape with a rounded top rising from a broad mound of wet brown clay on a grey concrete floor. Scattered clay crumbs and small orange and pink paint specks dot the surface around it, and a bit of a metal tool edge is visible at the lower left. No people are visible in the frame.2010-10-01May 10th 20162016-05-10A photo of ground-level work on muddy soil. Two bare-footed workers shovel wet brown earth; one wears a white shirt and khaki trousers and holds a shovel loaded with mud. Two metal basins, one galvanised grey and one red-rimmed, sit on the churned ground filled with soil. Lumpy clods and small stones cover the foreground under bright daylight.2016-05-10
