A photograph of two men seated on a concrete floor in a cluttered workshop, working on a copper object. The man on the right wears a black t-shirt, a blue-checked lungi, a beaded necklace and a wristwatch, and hammers the rim of a copper vessel resting on a cushion. The man on the left, in a white vest and blue-checked lungi, bends over the work and taps with a small hammer. Behind them are stacked jute sacks, plywood sheets, a wooden chair and a white door. Only the two workers are visible.2006-12-10September 06 20092009-09-06September 22 20092009-09-22 +1 copiesTwo men sit barefoot on bare ground working on a metal sculpture. The man on the left wears a white shirt and light blue jeans and uses a chisel-like tool on the metal. The man on the right wears a teal-grey shirt, a mustard-yellow dhoti with yellow border, and a red thread on his wrist, holding a hammer. Behind them sit sacks, copper-coloured pots and other tools on the dusty ground. The man at left in a pink checked shirt and white dhoti works on a pink vessel with a tool; a shirtless man in blue checked lungi strikes a piece with a hammer; at right a man in a black shirt and checked lungi tools a rounded pot; and a man in a yellow striped shirt and checked lungi chisels a flat metal plate on a mat. Tools, metal rods, cloth bags, a red chair and a wooden bench surround them.2006-12-10 +1 copiesA man in a white sleeveless vest and blue-and-white checked lungi sits crouched on a concrete floor, chiselling a bronze-coloured lotus-petalled base with a small hammer and tool in his right hand while steadying the piece with his left. A wristwatch is visible on his left wrist. Around him lie scattered iron tools, chisels and nails, a wooden board, a blue woven sack, a yellow bag and coiled wires. The work appears to be metal casting finishing at a sacred arts workshop.2006-12-10 +1 copiesJuly 01 20132013-07-01June 23 20132013-06-23June 23 20132013-06-23June 26 20132013-06-26Two men sit on a street-side step hammering and chiselling small copper-coloured temple vessels set on stone or clay supports. The man on the right wears a grey short-sleeved shirt and a checked lungi and works on a vessel resting on a dark clay block. Scattered metal tools lie on the pavement. Behind them a green sign reads Temple Metal, and a sack and a dark doorway are visible. Hands and tools are central in this craftsmanship scene.A photograph of four men working on the floor of a bare, unfinished workshop with a corrugated and thatched ceiling.
