Many aerial roots hang down and merge into thick trunk-like columns around the central trunk. The reddish-brown earth beneath is enclosed by curved low stone or concrete borders forming a ring around the base. No people are clearly visible, though a small red figure may be barely visible in the shadowed area near the trunk.2015-08-23A large old banyan tree with a dense network of pale, thick aerial roots descending from wide spreading branches to a red-earth ground. Green leaves cling to the trunk-like roots, and a strand of white beaded garland is strung between roots at the right. Thin black irrigation hoses run along the reddish soil and small stone-edged paving, with no people visible.2010-07-27A large, ancient banyan tree with a thick, grey trunk and many spreading limbs dense with green leaves. Numerous aerial roots hang down and merge into thick prop-root columns around the trunk, and the ground beneath is bare reddish earth edged by concrete steps. Near the base at lower centre, a small blue sign reads 'DO NOT ENTER THE CAVE', and a dark cave opening is visible beneath the roots. No people are visible in the scene.2011-08-01June 12 20132013-06-12August 04 20122012-08-04June 20 20162016-06-20A photograph looking up at a large banyan tree with thick, grey, sinuous trunks and many long aerial roots hanging and twisting downward through the frame.
