A large, ancient banyan tree dominates the frame, with a sprawling canopy of spreading grey branches and dense green leaves. Many aerial roots hang down and merge into thick trunk-like columns around the central trunk. The reddish-brown earth beneath is enclosed by curved low stone or concrete borders forming a ring around the base. No people are clearly visible, though a small red figure may be barely visible in the shadowed area near the trunk.
