Many people in mostly white clothing stand or sit closely packed, several with hands folded in anjali mudra, and women wear white and pastel saris. Men wear white shirts and dhotis, some with vibhuti and sandalwood marks on their foreheads, and some wear rudraksha malas. Two seated white-clad figures sit on steps in the background, and a few children stand near the front. The mood is one of quiet devotional attention during a temple gathering.2006-09-24October 24 20062006-10-24November 05 20062006-11-05April 19 20082008-04-19April 09 20112011-04-09A dense street crowd gathers in front of a colourfully painted South Indian gopuram temple tower with many sculpted figures, beneath a bamboo-and-cloth canopy.
