November 05 20062006-11-05A street crowd gathers along a roadside during a procession, with a whitewashed wall striped in red and white behind them and a temple gopuram partly visible at top left. In the foreground, a young man in white dhoti and shirt with an orange-saffron shawl over his shoulder carries a bunch of pink flowers. Beside him, a woman in a maroon and green sari wears gold necklaces and bangles, and an older woman in a pink sari and green shawl with gold jewellery stands nearby. Behind them, a clean-shaven man in white shirt and glasses with a tilak on his forehead watches the procession, and strings of white and orange flower garlands hang at right. Several other people in white and pastel clothes fill the street.2006-11-05A large outdoor crowd of devotees gathers on a stone-paved temple courtyard in front of a pink-and-cream temple gateway, with a tall gopuram visible at upper left. Many people in mostly white clothing stand or sit closely packed, several with hands folded in anjali mudra, and women wear white and pastel saris. Men wear white shirts and dhotis, some with vibhuti and sandalwood marks on their foreheads, and some wear rudraksha malas. Two seated white-clad figures sit on steps in the background, and a few children stand near the front. The mood is one of quiet devotional attention during a temple gathering.2006-09-24October 26 20062006-10-26A crowd of devotees stands in a line at the entrance of a temple gateway with pink and cream pillars, a wooden beam with carved brackets, and hanging mango-leaf or grass festoons. Several people press their palms together in namaskar, and one woman in a green sari with white border has her hands folded. Men wear white shirts and checked or red shirts, and women wear saris in pink and orange. A yellow metal gate and a framed map or sign stand to the right, and an ornate gold-painted screen is on the left. A small sign above reads a Tamil label. The scene suggests darshan queuing at a temple.2006-11-05November 27 20122012-11-27A crowd of villagers stands on a tree-lined brick path at an outdoor event, with saffron and white flags on poles and white buildings behind. Many men wear white shirts and white dhotis, and women wear colourful saris in pink, red, orange, lavender and light green, with kumkum on their foreheads and gold necklaces. A man in a white shirt and dhoti at centre-right gestures with his hands. Banana plants and flowering shrubs line the path, and a uniformed officer stands near the middle. The scene reads as a waiting crowd at a ceremonial gathering. No clearly identifiable a person figure is visible.2008-07-28February 09 20092009-02-09May 18 20122012-05-18A dense crowd of devotees presses against a tall cream-colored wall in an outdoor courtyard. Many men wear white shirts and dhotis, some with orange or saffron shawls, and a woman in a green salwar stands in the foreground. A child is held aloft in a gold top. Two long bamboo ladders lean against the wall, and a blue-sided truck with a white canopy and a red vehicle sit behind the crowd. The people appear to be gathering to view something above the wall, and no identifiable person is clearly visible at the front. The framing is tight, showing a jostling mass of people rather than a single focal figure.2011-12-20November 01 20062006-11-01July 09 20092009-07-09
