March 02 20182018-03-02December 24 20112011-12-24Night photograph of a large crowd standing in an open dirt ground under a dark sky with a silhouetted tree line behind them. Many people wear white ritual clothing: men in white dhotis and shirts, some in light blue shirts, and women in white saris, plus a few in pink, blue, orange and green saris. Several women wear orange shawls. Most stand with hands folded or arms crossed, facing toward the left edge of the frame where a light glows. Floodlight poles stand in the background. The gathering is large and fills the width of the frame.2006-12-20Outdoor evening scene at dusk beneath dark palm trees, with a large group of people standing in a loose semicircle on bare earth. Many women wear orange, red-bordered white, and yellow saris, while men wear white dhotis and shirts, saffron robes, and tan or pink shirts. Several people press their palms together in prayer. On the left, a man in saffron robes with a shaved head stands near a figure in orange robes, and a drum is visible in the middle of the group. Small stone figures and green shrubs line the ground at the left. Several people are visible in the background. The orange-robed figure on the left has a shaved head and a short beard, which does not meet the cue threshold for identification, so no identification is made.2010-11-21March 02 20182018-03-02July 24 20142014-07-24December 24 20112011-12-24February 21 20162016-02-21Outdoor photo at dusk of a large crowd standing in rows on bare dirt ground with palms in the background. Many people in front have their hands joined in namaskar or anjali mudra. Women wear saffron and orange saris and white saris with yellow or red borders; men wear white kurtas, white dhotis and khaki shirts, one in an orange shirt. A tall yellow pole on the right holds a decorated cloth banner with colorful floral patterns and orange fringe, near a red metal framework. The scene suggests a ritual gathering, but no specific person is clearly identifiable as a person.2010-11-21Night-time outdoor photo of a long line of women standing shoulder to shoulder on a bare dirt ground, hands folded in front of them as if in prayer or devotion. They wear white, cream, peach, teal, purple and red saris, shawls and salwar kameez, several with head coverings. Behind them a string of small red-orange pennants hangs between trees against the dark sky. Only a few people are visible at the far right edge, partly cut off. No clearly identifiable a person figure is visible; the line is composed of devotees.2007-01-01A nighttime procession on a dirt road in front of a red-orange ashram building with a small dome and a lit doorway. At the centre, a woman in a red-orange sari holds a multicoloured umbrella-style canopy on a pole, with orange flags carried by others on both sides. Crowds of devotees in white clothes and orange shawls walk and stand, many with hands folded in prayer. Several women wear pink, maroon and orange saris, and one older woman at right wears a pink-and-white shawl. A bright light source enters from the left edge.2011-12-05Night-time photo of a procession on a dirt ground in front of an orange-walled building. A man in white dhoti and shirt holds a large decorated parasol (umbrella) at left, and another man in white stands beside him. In the centre, a woman with long dark hair wears an orange-saffron sari with a leopard-print shawl and holds a tray. Behind her, a line of women in white saris and white clothing stand with yellow-green shawls and gold-topped staffs, and some have hands folded in prayer. A blurred man in white moves across the foreground carrying an offering. Spectators stand along the edge, including a young child in pink. Pancha-tapas style outdoor ritual procession.2010-11-19
