Behind the platform, an ornate deity murti in red silk, adorned with flower garlands and a gold crown, sits under a golden arch. Two other white-clad men and a woman in a white sari with yellow border stand to the left near a red-walled building. A seated figure in saffron and white is partly visible near the shrine.2010-11-12A photograph of a shaved-headed priest in white ritual dress performing an aarti with a silver multi-wick oil lamp, its flames burning brightly. A shaved-headed priest in white dhoti with a gold necklace and sandalwood-paste markings on his forehead and arms holds a small silver oil lamp with a lit flame. Beside him a woman in a white sari with a green-and-gold border and a black beaded necklace stands with palms pressed together in prayer. Behind them an orange-robed man with gold beads and a white-clad figure with gold beads sit among silver plates and offering trays with flowers, and several people in the foreground hold lamps. Oil lamps and metal plates suggest an aarti or puja. No clearly identifiable a person figure is visible.2010-10-22 +1 copiesNovember 12 20102010-11-12A photograph of a puja being performed beside an ornate gold-framed throne draped in red velvet. Silver plates hold fruit, flowers, pink petals and burning oil lamps in the foreground, with another person partly visible at left in orange.2010-11-03A photograph of an indoor puja scene beside an ornate gold-carved wooden panel decorated with yellow and purple flowers. A bald man with white horizontal vibhuti stripes and a red kumkum dot on his forehead, wearing thin-rimmed glasses, bare-shouldered in a white cloth with a dark rudraksha mala, holds a silver oil lamp with a lit flame. A young girl with curly dark hair in a white and gold dress sits in front of him. At left, a man with long swept-back dark hair and a rudraksha mala sits on a wooden seat wearing an orange garment, with a red cushion behind him; the appearance cues are mixed and not sufficient for an identification, so he is described only by role. Women in orange and white saris and a woman in a yellow shawl hold lit oil lamps and silver aarti plates raised in front of them, and a bald man in a white dhoti sits at a brass tray laden with silver bowls and offerings. A man in white dhoti walks in the background past an open doorway, and a kalasha sits on a red-draped stand at right. The scene reads as an aarti offering before a seated figure.2010-10-30A photograph of a group ritual with oil lamps.
