A shaved-headed man in white ritual dhoti and shawl with red and maroon borders, wearing a rudraksha mala and bare upper chest, holds a silver oil lamp with a lit flame raised beside an ornate gold-embossed panel. He has white sacred ash marks on his forehead and a red bindi. Behind him a woman in a dark top with a red bindi also holds a silver lamp. Gold bangles and a watch are visible on the wrists. A red and white striped backdrop sits in the background. The man has no distinctive a person cues such as long hair, crown or saffron robes, so his identity is uncertain.2010-11-07A photograph of a shaven-headed priest in a white dhoti with red-striped border and a white upper cloth, wearing a heavy gold bead necklace and a rudraksha mala, with white and red forehead markings.
