Silver lamps stand behind it on a striped cloth. At left, a person in an orange-saffron robe tends the offerings, and a second robed figure sits in the background. Smoke rises from a fire at upper left and a silver vessel sits in the foreground.2017-08-31A square homa fire pit lined with greenish-brown stone and dusted with white and red flower petals blazes at its center, with a silver bowl of liquid held over the flames. Around the pit sit small silver bowls of colored offerings, a silver cup, incense sticks and a pink flower, while a dark-red-robed person sits at the lower left and another seated figure is partly visible at the top. Silver oil lamps and a silver platform stand in the background, and a smoking earthen vessel of burning cowdung sits to the left, consistent with the page's account of Aushada purification using cowdung smoke and heat. No identifiable a person figure is clearly visible.2017-08-31August 25 20172017-08-25September 24 20172017-09-24 +1 copiesA photograph of a homa fire burning in a rectangular brick-lined fire pit, with bright orange flames rising on the left. A small hammered brass or copper bowl sits on the pit's rim, with red flower petals and white powder scattered along the edges. Behind the fire, a partly visible person's hand holds a long ladle or stick, and a bead garland hangs at right. The setting appears to be a fire ritual with offerings. No faces are visible.2017-08-02October 10 20172017-10-10August 25 20172017-08-25A homa fire ceremony at night in an open hall. A fire burns in a large rectangular wooden fire pit decorated with painted markings, with smoke rising across the frame. Behind it a man in a reddish-orange turban and a dark orange shawl, wearing orange-beaded rudraksha malas and a large ceremonial gold pendant, sits and reads from an open book. Brass oil lamps with flames sit at the pit's edge, and marigold petals and offerings lie on a cloth.2015-11-18October 16 20102010-10-16 +1 copies
