Night outdoor ritual homa at an open pavilion. A woman in orange and magenta sits cross-legged before a low yellow fire altar with smoke rising, offering items from a silver bowl. Behind her a red-cushioned gold throne stands with a robed figure in orange standing beside it, hands folded. Two more robed figures in orange and a white-capped figure stand near a red-draped table piled with yellow flowers and mango leaves-topped kalasha pots. Left, a gilded deity vehicle with a golden lion-like figure, garlanded with marigolds. Brass pots, bananas and fruit lie on striped mats.2013-09-30September 30 20132013-09-30September 30 20132013-09-30Evening ritual outdoors at a garden shrine. A man in saffron-orange robes with a rudraksha mala and a gold pendant sits upright on an ornate red throne with gold trim and a gold crown finial, centred and gazing forward. Beside him, a man in saffron cloth kneels on the right, and a woman in a yellow sari stands in the background. In the foreground, a priest with a shaved head and white dhoti with red border sits with his back to the camera, facing a low stone platform laden with brass bowls, a lamp, flowers, fruit, coconut and banana leaves. Palms and flowering shrubs surround the scene at night. The seated figure on the throne has distinctive rudraksha and saffron cues, and the page identifies him as a person, so this is an appearance-based probable identification.2012-04-23Night outdoor ritual on a raised platform: a homa fire burns in front of a decorated deity shrine with a gold arch, flower garlands and yellow marigold offerings. Several shaved-headed sannyasis in orange robes sit and stand around the fire, one in red robes sits centrally facing it. A priest in white dhoti stands at the shrine side. On the right, a seated woman in orange robes sits on a red-and-gold throne-style chair holding a small offering, a standing attendant in orange beside her; a fan stands nearby and a devotee in white sits in the foreground. Cloth-covered yagna steps and a pot of offerings lie at the side.2013-10-15Night-time outdoor ritual before a golden deity murti garlanded with yellow and white flowers. A shaved-headed young priest in orange dhoti and orange shawl, with beaded necklace, stands at a table draped in red cloth and heaped with yellow flowers and mango-leaf kalasha-style offerings, handling a ritual vessel. A second shaved-headed devotee in orange sits in the foreground by a homa fire pit lined with yellow and red petals, flames rising from it. A seated figure in orange-brown robes sits on an ornate red and gold throne at right, with others in orange and white clothing and a drum set in the background. The setting is a temporary open-air mandap under a corrugated roof.2013-09-30Night homa at an outdoor ashram setting with a fire pit lit before a seated figure on a red and gold throne. A bare-chested priest in a white dhoti with red border kneels before the fire, facing a microphone, with kalasha pots and brass plates of offerings in front. Garlands of red and yellow flowers decorate the throne and a green cloth hangs at left. Women in orange and yellow saris sit in the background, several with hands in prayer. A display board stands behind the fire.2012-04-23April 26 20182018-04-26 +1 copiesNovember 05 20102010-11-05Outdoor evening ceremony under a canopy of green leaf garlands, with a seated figure on a red and gold throne at centre. A person in saffron/orange robes with a long rudraksha-style mala and ornate gold necklace sits on the throne; the appearance cues are long swept-back hair, saffron clothing and ceremonial adornments, consistent with Swamiji (probable). Around him, attendants in saffron and white dhotis stand and sit; a bald priest in white dhoti and shawl stands at left, another in saffron stands at right, and a priest in white kneels at a low square fire pit in the foreground. Brass oil lamps, a brass kalasha-style vessel, fruits, flower garlands and a green silk cloth are arranged before the throne. Smoke rises from the pit, and devotees in yellow shawls sit on mats at right. Tall painted decorative poles flank the throne. This shows a homa/yagna-style ritual.2010-10-15 +1 copiesApril 26 20182018-04-26 +1 copiesSeptember 24 20172017-09-24 +2 copies
