A single oil lamp burns on a raised stone or clay platform at the trunk, and in the foreground a round woven basket holds several lit clay oil lamps arranged in a flower-like cluster, with small yellow flowers scattered on the stone floor. A partial figure in orange clothing appears at the right edge. No clearly visible faces; the lamps and tree dominate the warm, dark scene.2022-12-06November 25 20152015-11-25December 07 20132013-12-07November 23 20182018-11-23November 23 20182018-11-23November 25 20152015-11-25 +1 copiesNovember 23 20182018-11-23Night photograph of a large banyan tree with many aerial roots and trunks, draped with a garland of yellow and red flowers strung between its branches. At the base sits a small concrete platform holding a row of lit oil lamps, with more small lamps scattered on the ground around it. No people are clearly visible in the frame apart from a partial hand at the right edge. The scene suggests a traditional lamp-lighting offering at a sacred tree, with the warm glow of the flames contrasting the dark background.2015-11-25
