A turmeric-coloured coconut wrapped with yellow sacred thread sits at the centre, with a small brass bell and a brass pendant attached. White jasmine flower garlands lie to the left, a scattering of yellow turmeric powder is on the leaves, and a yellow thread is strewn across the leaf to the right. Blurred fruit and a hand are in the foreground, with a book and glass vessel softly out of focus behind. No people are clearly visible beyond a partial hand, and no one matching the a person description is shown.2013-12-25Close photo of a ritual tray held by a person in saffron-ochre robes, with long rudraksha malas hanging at the shoulder. The round steel tray holds two coconuts wrapped in yellow-orange thread, with gold-coloured trinkets and loose yellow strands spilling over the rim. Behind, a lit oil lamp with a brass lamp holder, a green leafy plant, a copper vessel and small brass cups sit on a decorated altar with pink and red cloth. Warm lamplight gives the scene a devotional, puja-like atmosphere.2016-12-19February 19 20162016-02-19Close-up photograph of ritual items on silver-rimmed steel trays. In the foreground, a coconut wrapped with orange-saffron thread sits on turmeric powder beside a gold-toned ornamental hand-shaped piece with fingers and a decorative rod, plus yellow marigold petals. Behind it, another tray holds a second coconut bound in orange thread amid yellow flowers. At right, folds of red silk cloth with gold border and a white garment appear. The setting suggests a temple or ashram offering arrangement.2010-12-23October 18 20152015-10-18 +1 copies
