A construction site on red-brown earth with workers laying grey concrete blocks in a trench for a building foundation. Several labourers bend over the trench: one in a green top and white shorts places blocks, a man in a red shirt and white cap stands at center, and two women in saris (one blue, one red) work on the excavated sides. Stacks of blocks, piles of rubble and sand, and scattered trees and a palm line the background under a pale sky.A photograph of an excavation site beside a white building with a green corrugated roof and potted plants on a veranda. Two trenches dug into reddish-brown earth run across the foreground, with stacked concrete blocks and scattered stones at their edges. Several workers are visible: one standing in an orange shirt near the building, another bending over in the trench area, and a figure in red further back. A stone retaining wall and palm trees appear at the right.2009-10-15A photograph of an excavated construction site at the AadiKailaasa grounds. In the foreground a deep rectangular pit with sandy red-brown earth walls and a fresh concrete footing edge runs across the frame. Behind it, scattered loose stones, a patch of bare ground, a few coconut palms, a leafy tree on the left and a small tin-roofed structure sit beneath a pale sky. No people are visible in the scene.2006-11-16A dirt road runs along the left edge with a freshly cut red-brown earth bank rising on the right. A raised pile of excavated soil and rubble lies to the right. No people are visible.2008-02-12A photograph of a dirt roadside drainage trench under construction on a dusty village road. A narrow channel of muddy water runs down the centre between two raised banks of red-brown earth and scattered rocks. A young sapling stands on the left bank, with small green shrubs and grass along the edges. Beyond, a white-walled building with a thatched roof sits near the road, a parked truck is visible further back, and palm trees line the right side. No people are visible.A photograph of an outdoor construction site. A narrow drainage channel carrying murky grey water runs down the centre, bordered by raised earthen banks of excavated reddish-brown soil and grass. On the right, a yellow JCB backhoe loader with its bucket raised sits beside large mounds of red earth. On the left, a dirt track runs past a green metal gate and yellow flowering shrubs. A single figure in light clothing walks far off along the track. Bright daylight and a hazy sky suggest a dry day.A photograph of a dusty construction site with reddish-brown earth, several soil mounds and a deep rectangular trench in the foreground, with grass patches between them. Behind is a long white single-storey building with a row of arched windows and pillars, and a yellow vehicle at the right edge. Several men in white dhotis and white shirts walk around the site, and a couple of people sit near a doorway at the left. Palm trees and smoke rise in the background.2006-12-10A dry, sandy trench or shallow channel cuts diagonally across barren red-brown earth, its raised earthen bank on the left topped with small scrubby saplings and sparse grass. Scattered pebbles and stones lie on the ground, and a row of thin bare tree trunks stands in the dry background. No people, ritual objects or signage are visible.2007-05-09A photograph of an unpaved red earth road cut through a rural area with deep tire tracks in the reddish soil.
