In the centre, a bald man with a white tilak, moustache, white kurta and rudraksha malas holds a small oil lamp in cupped hands while gazing upward. Beside him, a woman in a white and green sari with a gold-rimmed border holds a brass lamp and joins her palms. Behind them, a priest wearing an orange shawl, a long mala and sandalwood marks on his arms sits near a microphone stand, and another man in white with a mala stands at right. Men in white ritual dhotis perform an aarti with small brass oil lamps held outstretched. The foreground man, bare-chested with a rudraksha mala across his chest and a brass bangle on his wrist, faces left holding one lamp. Behind him a man with white horizontal tilak stripes on his forehead and arms holds a second lit lamp. Another man at left edge is partly visible. A green and gold draped structure and a red tray with offerings sit at the lower right. The scene suggests a devotional lamp offering. The foreground man's bare chest and mala are visible, but his face is not distinctively marked by the qualifying cues required for a probable identification, so his identity is unsure.

A photograph of a Hindu ritual gathering indoors. In the foreground a bald man with white and red tripundra markings on his forehead holds a small brass object and looks ahead. Behind him a man with white forehead markings holds a lit oil lamp aloft on a silver stand. Other seated men wear white dhotis with gold borders, one with a rudraksha mala, and a young boy in a yellow garment holds a brass vessel. Background shows a metal pot on a shelf and red cloth. Attendees appear to be taking part in a puja or aarti.

A row of people in white ritual clothing hold lit oil lamps (diyas) aloft during a puja. In the foreground, a man with short grey hair, a white kurta and a red-and-white beaded cord around his neck extends a brass lamp toward the right. Beside and behind him, others in white garments with red and orange shawls or cords hold lamps or have open hands raised in offering. The background is a dim wood-panelled hall. The scene reads as an oil-lamp ritual, possibly aarti.

Several men in white ritual dhotis sit closely together during a temple-style ceremony, several holding small brass oil lamps lit with flames and one ringing a brass bell. Ceremonial white tilak marks are visible on the foreheads and arms of some participants, and rudraksha malas hang on several chests. A bald man in an orange garment sits at the right edge, and a boy appears in the background. The setting is an indoor hall with white walls.
