The man in front, bare-chested with white ash markings on his arms and forehead, holds a lit lamp near his chest and chants with his mouth open; he wears a rudraksha mala. Beside him, another man holds a flame in his hand, and several others to the right hold lit wicks, with brass plates and small oil lamps on an orange cloth in front of them. A green-and-white draped table with more lamps stands behind. A child sits at the far left edge. The scene looks like a satsang-style puja with aarti, not an identified event.2010-11-30October 20 20112011-10-20November 16 20112011-11-16January 18th 20132013-01-18A photograph of several men seated in a hall performing a ritual with incense sticks. Four men in white dhotis with red-bordered cloth and white forehead marks hold lit incense sticks and small brass bells, raising their arms. A man at the front left wears wire-rimmed glasses, rudraksha malas and a gold bracelet. At the right foreground a shaved-headed man in an orange-saffron shawl with rudraksha beads sits with his head bowed. A tall whiteboard and pale walls form the background, and a few partially visible children appear at the left edge.2011-10-22A row of young men in white ritual dhotis and white upper cloths sits cross-legged on orange mats in a hall, performing a puja. Several raise small oil lamps with lit flames, and one in the foreground holds a lamp aloft with his right hand while his left hand is at his chest. Some wear rudraksha malas and gold bangles, and several have white urdhva-pundra forehead marks and white body markings. Brass plates of flowers, small brass vessels and a covered plastic container sit on the floor before them. A golden decorated seat or throne is visible at the left edge, with pink walls and white windows behind.2010-10-29November 09 20112011-11-09Men in white ritual dhotis perform an aarti with small brass oil lamps held outstretched. The foreground man, bare-chested with a rudraksha mala across his chest and a brass bangle on his wrist, faces left holding one lamp. Behind him a man with white horizontal tilak stripes on his forehead and arms holds a second lit lamp. Another man at left edge is partly visible. A green and gold draped structure and a red tray with offerings sit at the lower right. The scene suggests a devotional lamp offering. The foreground man's bare chest and mala are visible, but his face is not distinctively marked by the qualifying cues required for a probable identification, so his identity is unsure.2010-11-30October 13 20112011-10-13
