Etymology

“Aadhee” means ancient and “inam” means community or settlement. The very word Aadheenam means “the ancient community”.

Scriptural References

In Kamika Agama, Sadashiva expands about his vision about Aadheenam. First introduced in Kamika Agama - 7th Chapter. In Karana Agama, He expands the exact definitions.

It is a place for human settlement - not just human beings; living along with animals and nature. Around 47 components have to be there for a complete Aadheenam as per Sadashiva’s descriptions.

Some of the components - There should be a large Goshala (Go Mandir). - All Aadheenams have to have animal husbandry. - 10% of the land should be water body. It can be flowing or stagnant. - A separate place for Brahmanas & Adi Shaivas. A separate place for Rudrakanyas. Separate place for Vidyarthis. Separate place for for Vaishyas. Separate place for Kshatriyas. Separate place for people who don’t want to be part of any structure, who disowned the grid - Chandalas.

This is the place where people live the State of Sadashiva, radiate the space & manifest the Powers of Sadashiva! If you made Aadheenam as per Sadashiva’s vision, it will literally be a Veda-Agamic city. If you make a city the way He talks, it will be a self-sustaining establishment. - H.H Paramahamsa Nithyananda

The modern day cities have nothing to do with original India, and Bharat, that is why so much mess, so much disturbance in nature and human consciousness. All ancient settlements - Kashi, Kanchi, Madurai, Thiruvannamalai. - H.H Paramahamsa Nithyananda

Recent Findings

Research & excavation happening at Keezhadi - East of Madurai is establishing the age of Madurai to be 7 times the age any historian has predicted till now. In the series of Nithya Satsangs in Madurai Aadheenam, HDH Paramahamsa Nithyananda Paramashivam had come to a prediction, and now the researchers are coming to the same conclusion. We will soon have more evidence how Meenakshi planned the whole city of Madurai as per Kamika Agama, and ran the whole city (administration) by Manu Neeti Shastra.

The Shiva Leelarnava by Sri Neelakanta Deekhitacharya describes very clearly and elaborately, Kamika Agama was the spiritual scripture, Soma Sambhu Patati was the operational ritual manual, and Manu Neeti Shastra was the administrative law book. With the recent excavation, and carbon dating of everything discovered in Keezhadi, the timeline of Madurai is also now established.

Swamiji’s Vision

Whole settlement in Madurai was built as per Kamika Agama and the whole settlement lived a pure Shaivite life, celebrating Shaivism. Swamiji says, “It is time, and our responsibility to build modern day Veda-Agamic city, as per his guidance, as per His vision document.”
