Rudrabhishekam

In Hinduism, we perform a Vedic ritual known as Rudrabhishekam.

In Rudrabhishekam, we offer sacred bath to a Shiva Linga, while chanting powerful Mantras. The Shiva Linga is a Hindu deity which represents the Divine. Its form indicates how God is beyond form and formless.

We sit down and connect with God by performing Rudrabhishekam - “Oh Sadāshiva - Oh God, I know you are source of everything, you are everything and you are in this Shiva Linga and you are in this body. Let me connect with ME. Let you reveal yourself to me.”

When you sit in that bhāva - When you sit with that context, and do the action of Rudra Abhishekam, you experience Bhava Samadhi. Only Bhāva Samādhi can give you the higher taste and higher joy in life.

Rudrabhishekam is a powerful ritual which allows you to experience the Bhava Samadhi of Shivoham “I am the Divine”.

Components

Rudrabhishekam is a powerful Vedic ritual performed to invoke the energy and blessings of Lord Shiva for the benefits of health and healing. Rudrabhishekam carries tremendous healing power because it it brings together two potent techniques - abhishekam or the sacred bath, and the chanting of mantras.

Chanting of Mantras

During the Rudrabhishekam, you chant the Sri Rudram and Chamakam. Sri Rudram is a powerful Vedic hymn on Lord Shiva. Found in the ancient Yajurveda, Sri Rudram is renowned for its healing vibrations. Sri Rudram is chanted to invoke Lord Shiva’s energy, intelligence, blessings. In Sri Rudram, the Cosmic form of Shiva is described. Rudra is the deity of anti-aging, Rudra is the form of rejuvenating energy which makes us young everyday.

Our brain is designed to respond differently to different words. Whatever word we repeat in our inner space gets recorded in our brain and bio-memory, and also decides the circuit of our brain signals. Repeating the word “namaha”

During the Rudrabhishekam, the chamakam is chanted with namakam. Chamakam is a Vedic hymn chanted for health and prosperity. Chamakam is considered an auspicious chant, and is usually chanted in auspicious occasions.

Morning Routine - The Method to radiate Bhava Samadhi

Rudrabhishekam

In the pancha kriya below the chest you clean. During puja, above the chest you clean. During the satsang you sit in Nirvikalpa Samadhi, just to vibrate, entangle Sadashivoham, Shuddhādvaita Satya. The whole morning routine I have designed as a complete embodying the state of consciousness, Chit Gana Anubhava. It is all about Bhāva Samādhi. It is all about Bhava Samadhi.

Whatever has become your Bhava Samadhi, chit gana samadhi, whatever has not become, you don’t know it. - Paramahamsa Nithyananda on the Morning Spiritual Routine
